Neha really rocked it and Ankush did a small bit with her, his range is phenomenal. I can't believe he is the same guy from Indian Idol! All that hesitation, fear, quietness is gone. He is still the same calm person but the confidence is sky high. 👏

The show has a lot of my favorites too. Bhoomi Trivedi, Javed Ali, Shaan, Ankush, Shilpa Rao... you name it.

Also, tomorrow is Delhi vs Punjab. Delhi vs UP is on the 28th of March.

Today many contestants sang out of their comfort zones and you could tell not all of them are versatile. I enjoyed today’s show, not so much because of the singing, but the songs were all so peppy.

Nachiket - Ashish - Nachiket is a star, he’s always doing something different. Today he modulated his voice to be more baritone. Ashish was completely overshadowed and what made it worse for Ashish was that he had to repeat certain lines that Nachiket had already sung, and the difference was glaring. I’ve always said Ashish is overrated. Honestly, as much as I enjoyed Nachiket, Ashish wasn’t great and they didn’t deserve the Mausam badal diya.

Sayli - Nihal - from the moment he began Nihal was flat and he never got better. His pronunciation was wrong, he was off tune, basically it was a bad performance from him. Sayli was good. She was, as many have pointed out the saving grace of this performance. Even then I think, she was not comfortable, this isn’t her strong genre.

SMP - Sireesha - this pairing let’s Sireesha down. She is clearly the more melodious of the two, but she tries to modulate to suit SMP’s singing style, while SMP continues to do what she’s comfortable with. Clearly it isn’t working for Sireesha. And the choice of songs was bad for Sireesha. Didn’t enjoy it one bit. And what made it worse was the praises for SMP. Today was one of SMP’s worst performance. Didn’t deserve the mausam badal diya.

Danish and Sawai - Danish is literally saving Sawai. This wasn’t Sawais genre, and his performance was lackluster. Danish was good, he tried to salvage the performance. What made their performance okayish is their choice of songs. Definitely didn’t deserve the mausam badal diya.

Pawandeep and Arunita - that they’re both wonderful singers is a fact, but Arunita was the star. She has such a powerful voice, that Pawandeep sounded ‘feeka’ in comparison. Again, she wasn’t the most comfortable singing some of these songs - she’s always sung slower more melodious numbers. For weeks I’ve tried to figure out why I don’t always enjoy Pawandeeps songs though I think he’s very melodious. I’ve read on the forum also, and today I agree that he sings without emotions/feel. It’s very mechanical. Inspite of his fabulous range and tonal quality, there something that doesn’t make me go wow. They still were the best Jodi today.

Anushka and Anjali: I have a feeling that these two are often not given their due. They were really good today. They both complimented each other well. These songs were drastically different from what Anjali sings, and yet she did full justice to them. Anushka was fantastic. I’ve noticed she’s trying to add something extra to her songs, shows how much she’s risen in confidence. Wonder why they’re so under appreciated?

Today, we had more average performances than good. Clearly the stars of today were Arunita and Nachiket.

Zee TV. It's called Indian Pro Music League. Ankush and Salman from Indian Idol 10 are on it. You should check it out.

Except I'd give Sawai a bit more credit. He gave his best and stepped out of his comfort zone. I enjoyed his and Danish's performance.

Also, I think the reason why Pawandeep is all the hype is because he has a huge fan base from when he participated in The Voice. There are comments about him everywhere, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, you name it.

Well said. Nachiket was billiant and I like the pairing because it kind of clarified for me that Nachiket is much better. Ashish sems to have hit his limits, he is not improving or not giving his best since last 2 weeks.

SMP needs to be eliminated or the judges need to take the elephant out of the room and tell ehr she needs to sing other kinds of songs like other participants are doing. Sireesha I found is much better in these duets than SMP. The way Sireesha started the first song "pakchikpak raja babu, was powerful"

I feel like whenever danish and Sawai are paired, Sawai does not get to sing much. Danish is good, but something about him just ticks me off, not his singing, maybe body language. I feel bad for Sawai at times because he is a singer and does not know how to do the extra drama that seems to be required of the participants to gain popularity among people. Yet, yes Sawai is brilliant in his genre, and struggles with other songs

Pawandeep and Arunita - Agree, Pawan seems to lack emotions, but not in all songs. He gets some correct and then his performance looks brilliant and then some like some songs he sang today go all dull because he does not emote properly. Arunita overshadows all she signs with lol 😆. she seems to be the best of the lot.

Anushka and Anjali: Today I found Anjali better and for once I enjoyed her singing.

Nachiket n arunita. But I don’t think either will be crowned. I hope the stay on till the end at least we get to see more performances from them

My favourite performance today was Danish and Sawai. They both performed great together but Danish was exceptional as always. He is the best and the most versatile singer.
I also liked Arunita and Pawandeep but, Arunita totally dominated this performance.
I am also starting to like Nachiket and he performed great today.

I swear to god, if Arunita and Nachiket don't make it to the grand finale, I'm gonna riot.

Its on Zee at 8 pm. The format's similar to IPL cricket.

Basically there are 6 teams representing 6 states and they are owned by celebs like Govinda, Suresh Raina (who sings amazing btw!), Shraddha Kapoor etc and are sponsored by huge companies like Nilkamal, Smule etc.

There is a commentators box with 3 RJs of different radio stations who pass their commentary...I assume it airs on radio at the same time.

Each team has 3 members. There are 2 captains and 1 reality star. They battle, basically like a cricket match. Then like IPL, 2 will make it to the finals and one will win.
