Julie wasn't pregnant. It would have been her first film - until then she was theater actress. They wanted a movie star so Audrey got the role even though her singing was then dubbed. Julie did Mary Poppins instead and won the Oscar.

ME!

She's just so charming & magnetic. She has that thing you know, you look at her & you're drawn to her.

But to be honest, many women from the black & white era (be it Hollywood / Bollywood) were extremely gorgeous & out of the world beautiful - more than actresses of today.

Sigh if I could time travel I would want to be around in those times.

IDK, I was scrolling through Pinterest and came across pictures of hers. I was tempted to make a topic. Also, I love her quotes

I have watched the movie only once, but I liked it better than her other famous ones like My Fair Lady, Funny Face and Breakfast at Tiffany's. 😳

Roman Holiday is a coming of age drama guised as romantic movie IMO. It was way ahead of its time.

Audrey is a sweetheart.

One of my works stars an Indian heroine who looks like her so your post was a bit of a *you, too?* moment for me. Even current gen Americans don't seem to know her movies. 😒
