Singer Udit Narayan was wrongly nominated in the Best Male Playback Singer category for the title track of Main Hoon Na. Also there was speculation as to who would be actually nominated for the song as the song appears in two versions in the Main Hoon Na album with Sonu Nigam singing the main version while Abhijeet crooning the sad version. It's Sonu Nigam who finally wins the correct nomination!
The goof-up happened because this time the entire event (including the nomination listing procedure) is being managed by an external agency called 360 degrees. So the Filmfare editorial has lifted its hands from the entire goof-up process. The agency also yesterday called up Sonu Nigam and apologized for the error.
