What interests you more when you decide to watch a movie?

The eternal debate - content or stars - rages on, but what interests you more?

Which option plays predominantly on your mind?

I voted for content, but...

1) first glance I give would be because of who's in it or because I've heard rave reviews from reviewers I trust.

2) then I'd read the basic premise.

I won't watch a movie if #2 doesn't intrigue me. I miss out on good movies because of #1.

I think it definitely depends on the genre for me. If it's romance, then a good looking pair with chemistry is prerequisite. If its mystery/thriller/satirical then the plot for sure. And I would also love to see my favs essaying different roles, nonetheless of how crappy the film might turn out to be.

Content. Because stars don't really mean anything anymore. Like back in the days SRK meant a fun romantic movie. now if I follow SRK to movies I will end up with Zero or jab harry met Sejal. I guess I will watch anything Aamir is in. Except for Thug all his movies were good.

That's exactly how I function!

I will be honest. The cast&crew- namely the main leads & the director, make the biggest part of my decision whether I am watching a particular movie or not. Like now I am looking forward to watching RRR just because its coming from Rajamouli. I am also waiting eagerly for the Brilliant Telugu director Shekhar Kammula’s next which also happens to have Sai Pallavi in it, even though I have no clue what the movie is all about. I am curious about Brahmastra, Circus, Shamshera,Animal etc only because they have the promising actors like Ranbir and Ranveer. So yeah, it is what it is!
