So since the show was inspired from both TVD and Twilight, I thought to list the characters and their American counterparts, exactly the same or inspired from. The blanks seem like original characters. If there's anyone I am missing let me know!

Piyali 'Piya' Jaiswal Dobriyal : Elena Gibert (who was an adopted child) / Isabella 'Bella' Swan

Abhayendra 'Abhay' Raichand: Stefan Salvatore (also a hint of Damon's badassness) / Edward Anthony Masen Cullen

Siddharth Mehra : Damon Salvatore (season 1 version)

Princess Gayatri Singh Shivranjani 'Maithili' Gaurima Pandher : Katerina 'Katherine Pierce' Petrova

Misha Dobriyal : Alice Cullen (tomboy version)

Haseena Raichand : Esme Platt Cullen (Haseena is a darker version of her Twilight counterpart...still very maternal)

Chand Raichand : Carlisle Cullen (darker version) / Guiseppe Salvatore (the negative part comes from here)

Jeh Khurrana : Jacob Black / Tyler Lockwood

Kabir Singh Rathore : Michael 'Mike' Newton / Matt Donovan

Tanushree 'T' Ambolkar : Caroline Forbes (season 1 version) / Jessica Stanley and Rosalie Hale

Panchi Dobriyal : very similar to Jenna Sommers / Angela Weber (the maturity part)

Neel Khurrana : Mason Lockwood

Alina Khurrana : Bonnie Bennett (since she has witchy powers)

Sugandh Jaiswal : Isobel Flemming and Renee Swan (a positive version of both minus the vampire obsession)

Deepanita Khurrana : Ester Mikaelson (the twisted side but a werewolf version)

Angad Juneja : Eric Yorkie

Madhu Dobriyal : Miranda Gilbert

Arnab Dobriyal : Alaric Saltzman, John Gilbert and Greyson Gilbert / Charlie Swan

Miss Shanaya : Vicki Donovan (minus turning into a vampire)

Danish Singh Rathore :

Ruhi Juneja :

Maya Sharma :

Shaurya Khanna :

I didn't notice other characters much in other shows.

For Abhay I would say, He is more like Edward character (protector not only for his love but others too, curious to Piya but still try to stay away )

his back story was inspired from TVD but still his character has it's unique quality.

Abhay was definitely more badass than Edward and Stefan but the reason why I link him with Stefan is coz he went thru the same type of betrayal by Maithili. He also had a hint of sassy Damon to him. And he is overprotective like Edward, hence I think they put the three characters together 😃
