Performance Discussion 30 & 31 January - Page 2

I enjoyed sundays episode, didn’t watch much on Saturday. The 100 songs thing was LIIT. As someone else has posted I knew all the songs and was transported back to my childhood.

I couldn’t fault anyone’s singing, when it comes to performance only because I was enjoying the songs and didn’t pay attention to singing. I was singing along (that was so much fun).

I really liked Anushka and Nachikets performance.
im not one bit surprised at Vaishnavs elimination. He’s been a shadow of what he was in the previous show he won (was it Indian idol jr. or was it Sa re ga ma pa).

I soon expect them to eliminate Nihal, Nachiket, Sayli.

there favourites will stay - Shanmukhapriya, Danish, Pawandeep

I didn't like even Pawandeep today.The throw was lacking. Maza nahi aya. But still judges gave awesome mausam. I love him otherwise. I am pretty sure he is going to become the Indian Idol because he is simply a level above all the other contestants. So no competition this time. Like last two seasons, sunny and salman were just on another level.

Sireesha was really nice. But judges don't seem interested in her. She might not reach top 5 unfortunately

I loved Ashish today. He was flawless. He should make it to top 5.

I have zero interest in other contestants because they range from crap to crappy to crappier to crappiest.

Also I am observing some members here (i have a feeling they are marathi) are so casteist and regionalist that they are hellbent on liking loving and trying to make popular some shitty Marathi singers like the maha bakwaas Nachiket, maha ghatiya Anjali and maha beauri Sayli. I wanna tell them to just grow up.

Pawandeep, sireesha are the best ones.

Ashish is good.

And i might not mind if people like danish or arunita coz they are sometimes decent.

but if u praise any of the rest, i am going to judge your singing, hearing and music taste.

That's just sad. I know these shows are mostly rigged or scripted but this time its so blatantly obvious that it hurts. Sayli and Nachiket are both so talented.

This makes me really question the credibility of the judges also...ki aapke achievements kya hai jo u are marking brilliant singers low and abysmal singers high.

Every time I think there'll be a change, you prove wrong. And I avoid quoting you coz you seem like a kid, but you ever taken it too far this time. You got personal.

Judge our taste by all means, because that's what you do best. If no one likes your favourites you get all teen bratty. Thats nothing new.

And fyi, I am not Marathi. My parents have had an inter cast marriage and I am a North Indian. Now u can go on to say I dislike the South Indian singers coz I am from North.

Calling us casteist and religious is the biggest bull I have seen you post. And u do not get to go there.

And sweetie, don't talk about taste. Your favourites even in Bollywood show yours very well.

You need grow up. You're the kid here and have been behaving like this for months now.

Everyone's entitled you their opinion, but you are not allowed to get personal. You think you're cool with all your "casteist religious" shit, news flash, this is the stupidest most pathetic thing I've read here.

And PS: this is coming from someone who knows ALOT about music (singing, production etc) out of passion and has a 3 octave vocal range. If I start to fire questions on technical skills, nuances and vocal presentation, you won't have any answer.

So I suggest you judge all you want, but do NOT get personal.

PPS: Since you seem to have so much knowledge on music, I think u forgot an important aspect. Music has no religion, caste and nationality. Remember that the next time you decide to fire shots.

I haven’t been watching the show as regularly as I would, but during the republic day episode Neha claimed Nachiket ne mausam badal diya (and rightly so), but this week he was in the bottom 5 according to judges score.

How does that make any sense?

Nothing makes sense this season. Its stupid. I only watch it for some of the contestants.

And anyways I am pissed to express my opinion, u did notice the long essay I wrote above right 😵

I think last week's episode was only for audience votes and this week's was for judges scores. Bottom 5 are decided on the basis of judges scores of this week and elimination is based on audience votes of last week.

Yes, I did. I was tempted to write too, but it would be a waste of my time writing to someone who’s already formed an opinion.

I’m not Maharashtrian either, I don’t even live in India, though I did live in Pune for a while.

In the previous seasons I’ve liked people from different parts of the country, it just so happens that I like Nachiket this season, and I think Sayali is pretty good too (not in my top lists, though).

you’re right, it makes no sense, if SMP get standing ovations every single time, while many others don’t. They seem to have their favourites - who in their eyes can do no wrong.

But when they announce the bottom 5, they clearly say it’s on basis of judges score
