You’re right about that, however what I feel is the reason they did that was because they were probably unsure about MS being the ML. Because if you go by the story and the promos it was supposed to be AN avenging her lover, but what happened is she fell for the guy who killed her lover and her lover turns out to be the villain to justify VAni. So now we no longer have the revenge story, and Naagin mostly does well on revenge themes because that is what people associate them with and here we got khichdi in the name of revenge. Ok let’s say Jay is third wheel and was intended to be that way, he still sucks and is a turn off. And a guy similar to MS when it comes to playing the ML is now cast as lead for the spinoff. 👏 👏

I think we will most likely agree to disagree about the who was meant to be the ML lol I think and from what i understand there was a reason aakeshwari was cursed and told history would change this time. I guess people thought she would be reunited with her lover but having watched ektas shows for a very long time( don’t want to give away my age 😆) you know she isn’t going to end up with the so called sansakari types when there is a bad boy on the other side.

I haven’t seen the previous seasons of the show so can’t comment on the revenge element but what I do know is that the show they wanted to portray was about a forbidden love but for some reason they pitched it as inteqam ki gatha which was absurd. There was no revenge to take. Also this is my personL opinion but I think as nonsensical as the script was some viewers added to the writers confusion. One minute they wanted Vani romance the next minute they wanted revenge and naagin vibes. They were never going to get both because there was no revenge. Instead we got half baked romance and half baked revenge. Which I am really salty about. This show should have been the spin off to the naagin series not part of the naagin series.
