Chapter 4
It was the last week of their schedule in Newyork. All this while, Arnav was taking care of Khushi and she was perfectly fine now. He used care of her medicines and made sure she ate on time. Khushi for a moment saw her old Arnav in him but brushed the thought away as soon as it arrived.
She flipped the pages of her script.
"A kissing scene?" She gasped.
She knew she had to go through many things but just the thought of kissing Arnav sent current down her spines. She was afraid to go too close to him, she was afraid she would be able to control her feelings for him this time. His smile itself will make her go crazy.
"Khushi!" She heard the director call her and she went in front pf the camera only to see Arnav waiting for her.
"Okay, So Khushi you have to walk on the empty road aimlessly, and after sometime Arnav will follow you. After a heated argument, he would end up kissing you. Ready?" The director asked.
"Ah.. Sir?" Khushi tried not to feel nervous. "Can we make it a cheat scene?"
Arnav looked at her with an emotion she could not read.
"Are you crazy, Khushi?" The director almost yelled. "The fans are dying to see you guys romance again. And it's not that you are kissing someone onscreen first time."
Yes, she had kissed her costars onscreen but with Arnav, it was different and difficult but how should she make his director understand?
"Relax." Arnav whispered. "Just let me lead. I will not kiss you if don't want me to. The camera will it's work."
Khushi looked at him and her instinct told her to trust him. She nodded and he assured her.
"Ready, Sir." Arnav declared.
"Action!"
Antara (Khushi) walked on the empty road aimlessly, lost in her own thoughts. Suddenly she heard a noise and turned to see Kabir (Arnav) walking behind her.
"How many times have I told you not to spy on me." She asked angrily.
"I don't need to spy on you to find you." Kabir replied. "Let me drop you.''
"Kabir..."
"Antara!" he cut her. "I don't want an argument again."
"Listen, I don't know why you do this. Why do I feel all this. I mean there are other girls too who you can spy on!" she was irked.
"I am not spying you!" he yelled.
"Whatever!" she yelled back. "You always do this to me. First you broke my heart and now behaving as nothing happened!"
"Antara, it's nothing like that. I am really sorry."
"Keep your sorry with you. I don't want to see your face!"
"I said I am sorry!" he said in frustration.
"Go to hell!" she shouted back.
"Hell!" Arnav cupped her face and moved close to her and stop inches away from her lips.
Those few minutes felt magical. It was getting difficult for them to control their feelings. They could feel each other breath which was driving them more crazy.
Khushi tried her best but couldn't control anymore. She pulled Arnav's collar and kissed him. Arnav stood shock for a moment and then kissed her back. He could feel Khushi's heart beating fast against his own. Though Khushi hated herself for thinking about the past, as she kissed him, her heart exploded with happiness. If it hadn't been for Arnav's stupid insecurities, the two would have been still together.
"Cut!"
Khushi pulled back once reality hit her. What was she doing? She cannot become weak in front of him. Her heart can't betray her. She covered her face with her palm.
Khushi stood in front of Arnav's vanity van. She decided that she would clear that the kiss was professional and he should know that. She knocked the door.
"Come in." She heard his voice.
She slowly opened the door and walked in.
"Khushi?" He was surprised to see her in his vanity. "Come, sit."
"ASR, I.. I wanted to say that.. that kiss.." she stammered. "You said we would cheat but I.. I am sorry," she whispered. He smiled softly at her as he came closer and caressed her cheek.
"No big deal. I knew you would come back." He kissed her forehead.
Khushi skipped a heartbeat. These days have been very difficult for her. She may have denied but it was true that his presence has effected her. Involuntarily, she hugged him and cried softly in his arms.
How much she missed him, only she knew. And being in his arms was so beautiful that she could hardly express in words. He hugged her gently but slowly it started to become tighter. She cried her heart out drenching his shirt.
"You spoilt everything, Arnav." She cried aloud hugging him. "How much had I loved you. Why did you do that!"
She felt his hold becoming weaker. She looked up at him.
"Arnav?" She panicked. "Why are you crying?"
