India Women opt to bowl

Congratulations to Team India on their emphatic win against the new entrant, Japan.

Japan's players take a lap of the ground before bowing in their traditional style to the people who came out to support them. Their first game against a full member was a memorable outing, and they played with smiles on their faces throughout, clearly enjoying the occasion. As for India, there isn't too much to take away from a game that was always expected to be one-sided. The bowling, which has been in good form, once again did a terrific job, but the couple of batters who were given an opportunity to move up the order couldn't make it count, leaving Shafali Verma to do the bulk of the scoring in the chase. That's all from this game. We now have our semi-final line-up: Pakistan take on Sri Lanka, while India face Bangladesh. Both games are on Sunday.

Congratulations to Indian Women for winning the quarter finals.

They will take on Bangladesh women on 20th in the second semi final while Pakistan plays against Sri Lanka in the first semi final.

On 22nd, the winners will play for the Gold medal match and the other two teams play for the Bronze medal match.
