Chapter 11

Khushi sat on the bed in Arnav's room, waiting for him to complete his shoot. Her shot was scheduled for the afternoon. As she waited, she glanced around the room and attempted to comprehend the happenings of last night.

"I can't live without you." He had said and had dozed off. She had tried to get out of his grip but he was too strong. And when sleep took over her, she hadn't realized. When she had opened her eyes, Arnav had already left. She was still confused if he meant those words. And if he did, does he still love her?

She closed her eyes and let out a sigh, only to hear his footsteps enter the room. He stopped as his gaze fell on her.

"I hope you had a good sleep," he said.

"I want some answers, Arnav." Khushi walked towards him. "You have to tell me. Why are you doing this? Why did you do that in the past, and what are you going to do?"

He smiled, a soft, tired smile, and came to a stop in front of her. He stared down at Khushi with determined eyes.

"I promise to tell you, Khushi. But when the right time comes. I have made mistakes and right now I want to do just what I have been planning to do."

"Planning? Do you have a plan? What is it?"

Suddenly, Arnav grabbed her waist and pulled her closer. Khushi gasped as her chest hit his. He let a playful smirk cross his face, as he looked at her face up and down.

"Arnav, what are you..."

Before she could even finish, he had his lips on hers. At first, she struggled to pull away but he didn't let her go, rather pulling her close. It was a gentle kiss until Khushi started responding, it turned into a passionate one. The instant she gave in, he pulled away slowly. She opened her eyes and stared at his lips, only to see a smile. She looked into his eyes and heard him speak, though her mind was spinning with mixed emotions and her knees were weak.

"I don't want you to regret it, Khushi," Arnav said in his ever husky voice. "Are you sure about this?"

Khushi looked down at his lips and back up into his eyes as he waited for an answer. She hated herself for it, but she didn't want to stop. She desired to be his. She missed his touch, his hugs, his kisses, and his hickeys, she had always missed him. She couldn't deny it any longer. That feeling of longing and wanting him near her all the time, if that wasn't love, she didn't know what it was. She decided to go with her instincts and rose onto her tiptoes to answer his question with a gentle kiss. She felt him smile in the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He leaned down over to her as he kissed her back, causing her to land back onto her feet. He moaned, causing a chill to run down her spine as her heart fluttered away. They broke the kiss to catch their breath.

While Khushi looked at his eyes with intensity, Arnav pecked her lips again.

"What are you thinking?" Khushi asked. "What happened so suddenly?"

"You trust me?" he asked back.

Did she?

"Listen Arnav, it was always obvious what I felt towards you, I have never denied my feelings for you, I had a dream; to be with you. I wanted to live that dream. But it is now broken, into pieces and I don't understand how to piece them back together"

"Khushi," he held her waist and pulled her closer making Khushi quiet. "You love me, don't you?"

"Do you really want an answer to this?" she questioned back.

"See, I want us to forget the past. I know it was my mistake that I didn't trust you, I should have." He embraced her tight. She hugged him back, with a frown on her face. "I am really sorry, for whatever I did. I should have talked to you to make things right. I shouldn't have let a third person come in between."

Khushi broke the hug and cupped his face.

"Don't talk in circles."

"I saw Shyam coming out of your vanity yesterday." he sighed. "Just like 5 years back. I had seen him coming out of your resting room at the success party and then you came out after a minute. Your hair was messy and you were adjusting your saree. I was confused all the while, I thought you would share something with me, or even do something yourself. But nothing sort of that happened. And I..."

"Assumed things." Khushi completed his statement, darkly.

Arnav bowed his head down, ashamed while Khushi's vision was blurred due to tears.

"Khushi, I confronted Shyam." Arnav held her shoulder. "I asked him what was he doing with you. And he said you had something that evening. He manipulated me and..."

"And you were?" Khushi shrugged his hands. "You trusted him and broke up with me? Do you even remember what words had you said to me that day, Arnav? You had called me a slu.."

"Khushi." Arnav closed her mouth with his hand. "Don't. I made a mistake and I accept that. I know you were always loyal to me. I also know that it was not just a fling for you, like holding hands and being good in bed. I know you loved me, you wanted to get married and settle down. It was me who was being an asshole. I am to be blamed and I am sorry for not trusting you and calling you names. I, I really am. But I want you to just give me a chance. I promise I would do everything to rectify my mistake. You just have to trust me."

Khushi moved his hand slowly from her mouth. His eyes spoke more than his words. She closed her eyes and he touched his forehead with hers.

"Will you give me another chance?"

Ohh man, Khushi is so much in love with him

He just believed that snake and didn't bother to ask her? At least he knows now.

nice concept, read all the chapters in a go. so arshi dated and then arnav suspected khushi cheating on him with shyam just like the show and broke her heart without giving her a chance to tell him her side of the story. but good thing is he realized his mistake and asking for another chance. would be interesting to see if khushi is able to trust him again. he definitely used some strong words against her back then.

would be interesting to see how they move forward from here.

Arnav assumed things, real bad ones about Khushi and broke up with her. Khushi needs to regroup herself and let him repent for a while. She should not give in straightaway.

Shyam never change, does he? Give him a good punishment.
