(Not at all fishing for wishes🙃(seriously!) but it's my birthday tomorrow, i.e in some hours...)

For me, my own or others, it's just awkward....should I post as a post or story or just message or phone call? We didn't talk whole year, should I message in birthday,...oh I posted for one friend, I should post for another friend too right? Social medias are just so hard ..actually conversations are hard ..

Bas main mummy papa aapas mein cake kaat ke khilake formality poori kar lete hain. Cake is the only reason I care for my(or anybody’s) birthday. Baaki kya rakha hai.

I have old friends that I only wish on birthdays. And they wish me on mine. Baaki saare saal radio silence.

It's just a regular day for me. I do cut a cake but that's it. A few friends wish me and I thank them but we have nothing else to talk about since we only text on special occasions.

It's very cut and dry.

For me, I still get excited about my birthday, though the celebrations are now more simple and muted as compared to when I was a teenager and in my 20's. I cut a cake, enjoy home-cooked food made by my mom, and usually have a friend or two come over to spend the day with me.

As for me, yeah, I do get excited about my birthday. 😆

My family is on strict instructions not to bring cake nor buy anything for me. And they did not this time. I hate being the center of attraction in real life.
