Exactly, I agree with your points! Its no longer a revenge and Bani has taken on no responsibility of being the thekedaar of Insaaf in the Kalyug. That is not AdiNaagin's job. When it comes to the supernatural bit or the story line toh I anyway have no expectations. I was here for the love story and so were many I believe. A good story and plotline is a big bonus. They should have just kept the Kalyug as the incomplete love story that fate will change and rewrite. If they showed us a story they wanted to, would have enjoyed it so much more.
Neither has Veeranshu remained the sharp and intelligent character he was nor is Bani being the fierce, fiesty lady she was. Its like they are taking away all the good bits. Also kaunsi angle se Bani naukraani lag rahi hai? Did he not notice the mangalsutra and the sindoor too. So many loopholes man.
You know, the one thing I will give the creatives a little leeway is on this, that I feel like when they envisaged the season, they wanted to do something completely different from before. No naagmani, no revenge, none of those typical tropes from previous seasons. They wanted to show a unique tale of the love story of a naagin and a cheel. It was envisaged (IMO) as a "forbidden" romance, but because it was within the structure of the Naagin franchise, they were hamstrung by those tropes that the fans of the franchise (rightfully) wanted. Hence the weird tracks. Obviously they could have written it better, regardless, but I think they lost their way in trying to be different but also being 'stuck' (for lack of a better word) with the same tropes of the franchise.
For fans like you and me, who are here for the love story, it would have felt better if this was an original show (supernatural or not, just not a Naagin™ show) that was focused on the love story.
@bold - right?! What kind of naukraanis does he know who wear clothes like that? Like, at least make it make sense, people
