The episode was mostly disappointing, not quite sure what to say. My thoughts are all over the place so please excuse me if my post is too. totally with you- the only saving grace were those two Vani scenes for me because any scene with them and I am sucker (i ignore the 'storyline' at that point) and Mr F's dialogues- I do really like them đ
Throughout most of the scenes, I kept thinking back to the BTS of that shot (Damn, they really do darken the outdoor scenes). Mr. Farishta was hilarious though, he was definitely the voice of the audience's trolling with his sarcastic jabs at Bani.
Now I know that the man, opps, farishta,.. has come to induce the revenge track ... and "bold, sassy Veeranshu". All of Mukta's recent posts are literally filled with these two comments in variations. She clearly took the advice - in the opposite way of what the fans meant. Of course this track would have worked wonders if brought in earlier. Could have shown it to be the literal presentation of Bani's inner conflict. But oh well, now it is to remind her of her original purpose. The issue is the way its being reasoned. There were plausible, justified reasons: Killing cheels because they are Naagvansh's enemy clan (this resolve eventually weakened because of Veer) , the youngsters involvement in Noor's murder whereas for the elders, it could have been their Satyug connection, revenge of killing the countless naagins (remember Naina!?) while trying to find her plus orchestrating the plane crash that killed her parents. On the contrary, the reasons THEY are showing is to kill them because of Satyug and their illegal businesses. Yes, Balwant and Shukla were there is Satyug. But Pawan, Tapish, Daksh, Monil, Ponky were never shown to be present in the Satyug, so how does that even make sense? With that logic, they are still 'innocents'. I can still take the issue with the illegal business factor although, there was no 'personal' grievance (for lack of better words) therefore, I do not see how it would be Bani's revenge to take. It would be more of the question of Insaaf here. The Farishta did have a very good point though. Veeranshu lives in the same house, hangs out with them, works with them for years and still does not know about their human trafficking business? He did mention having doubts but still, he never found out for sure? I think Mukta maata missed the part - the most important part of what we wanted in relation to the Sassy Veer- the sassy Veer and his sanki love for his Bani. They literally pick and mix at this point on what they are giving the audience. I think the 'revenge' track they have left so late- anything they give us now will be half baked- I mean Jai the dude that tried to kill her husband is just roaming around? I mean if you are looking at revenge someone point Bani in that direction đ¤ This revenge track is just nonsensical at this point and has been put in place for the audience that wanted this- which is fine I guess.
Ballu and Bani's scene was odd. Like heck, I dig for such stuff but I kept expecting Ballu to smirk after she left or find out something amiss. Looks like they are planning to make Ballu good... for good. Not sure what this would mean for the story in the bigger plot since Ballu was one of links. See I didn't buy this scene not even one rupee. Like the scene was good but Ballu has an agenda here- its clear that this is all an agenda. But don't what for. I kept thinking is that Jai in Ballus shape or someone else. I think there is more to this scene!
Pawan chachu's death was coming. Surbhi definitely did good there but Bani didn't seem as interested in the killing. Rather she was more concerned with Veer. Also, the vfx was awful! The scales on her skin and them eyes were so uh, badly done. The Farishta being "Kyar Karoon? Taali bajaon?" was đ¤Ł. I am interested in knowing how Veer and Co would react to this. The biggest flaw though was this. Bani could have easily killed ALL the cheels one by one ever since she came in the house. Aur kissa khatam. There was one thing stopping her - the condition that Bholenaath set for her. The cheels had to attack her first. That was a clever obstacle at first to keep the story going. It was why she could not kill Veer before too and kept instigating him to attack her. Now I didn't see Pawan attacking her in any physical way. So this was a major blooper in writing and logic. SC nailed her scenes here as well- I agree and Mr F is a scene stealer with those lines 𤣠I think like Sohni said in one of her posts it seems to now have changed from badla to insaaf? LOL writers convenience basically - makes no sense. Unless shoddy editing meant that we didn't see chachu attacking her? Which I doubt.
Coming to Veeranshu's memory loss. The entire thing looks so forced and contrived. At least during the moon-gate hypnosis, his actions and outbursts were blows out of proportion and somehow made sense. Yesterday he questions about Mehek, Dehek and their Mom, asks when TaRa happened. He realizes he does not know or remember these events meaning he has gaps in his memories. Is he not wondering about it? If he can take those above things at face value, why can he not take his trusted Tapish Bhai's words about Bani being his wife? Last week, I thought the Farishta's magic was not just to make Veer forget Bani, but also make him being unable to stand her. Hence, the irritation, the headaches and physical pain when she came close. This week kinda flipped it, making it look like partial amnesia instead. Personally not a fan of this track but had moon-gate not happened I think that this track would have been a good one to go with. This magic I think has wiped Bani's existence and anything associated with her from Veers memory and her presence causes him pain which leads to irritation. That part of him doesn't allow him to understand what Tapish Bhai is saying? I think- anyway. I just think there are loopholes in this track like with the whole story.
Yes, VaNi's love is pushing through! I liked the more subdued and controlled way he told Bani that he doesn't like shouting and explaining to her to keep away. I also really liked the car and dance scenes where it is FINALLY shown that he did feel the connection and pull. I wish they had at least shown one tiny scene of him thinking the same thing last week. About why he feels something when he 'first' saw her. Just one line even. Because despite this week and the relief on seeing the connection making way, I feel like that the pyaar ki deewaangi now has a dent that cannot be mended and I hate feeling this way. *sigh* I am all for angst but its the way this track was done. All that said, I still enjoyed the car scene and the dance where Veer kept seeing Bani in all the girls (I was yay-ing in my head). Scenes like that keep me going. I am glad they didn't mess with the connection too much. In moon gate I wanted this connection to break the hypnosis and it didn't. But I am glad it seems to be dong it here- I do think this bholenaath coming through for Vani and us fans đđź I loved these scenes- reminded me of the start when Veer didn't understand what this connection was he felt with Bani. This sort of reminded me of the old Veer that was obsessed with Bani. then the writers obvs had to go kill it.
Jay ke liye toh kya hi bolun. Just last week, we were discussing about how he now seems like a strong villain. Sure, he may have more up his sleeve now too but what they showed until now was so stupid. At this point though, I am glad his plans aren't working. Still hoping they don't go down the route and Veer himself pushes the girl away instead of Bani having to do anything. I find such tactics in ITV for either character, very distasteful. I still believe that there is more to Jai's plan than is being shown. HE wants Veer to die and he won't share that with Donky- so there is something else cooking. Obvs he won't win like I have always said Mukta has been consistent in writing his plans failing. I would love it if they showed V pushing this girl away because of the connection. I hope they do- don't think SC was there in the hotel room scene. So there is hope.
Really hope tonight's episode has Veer back in himself. I am hoping the same sister but not going to hold my breath!
EDIT - I also felt like Bani was herself only in the last few moments of the episode when pushing that Monica away. Where is my fiery Bani? LOVED that scene when put her haq on her veeranshu and asked the girl if she wanted a slap đ¤Ł
