Yes. Nowadays girls don't want to take the responsibility of their spouses parents. That's why they ask for seperate houses. Sometimes it is the boys who prefer to live seperately to avoid the interferance of their parents in their lives. 🤔 In Yemen most of ppl are poor, so joint family system is still a norm in many villages and small towns. 😊

I am not the right person to comment on the religious aspect of it as i am not a very religious person... All i can say is people were not as serious about religion in the past.... Its only recently that people started taking religion more seriously.... Even then culture takes precedence over religion in many matters.... Religion is considered a part of life not a way of life in our society.😊

Btw i do live in saudi.... We have Yemeni neighbours here (though they never visits yemen).... If u don't mind i want to know whether Yemen is safe now?

It is like this in modern lifestyle. It was the way how our parents and grandparents used to live.😊

No. Yemen isn't safe. War is still on. I live in South Yemen , in Aden. Last week our airport was attacked by 3 rockets. many ppl died .😭
