Definitely. This track is a "for all you revenge demanding people" 😆. But I believe that if done good, this track can really play out well and tie with literally all facets of the story we know of until now. I don't think Monil's death is a can that will be opened any longer. Its just one of those things that the audience has to confirm themselves without being shown - Jay did it. Its a minor thing in the grand scheme that I can actually let slide even. The bigger ones that need to be revealed are Noor's death truth to Veer, Pandit's death truth to Bani, Teer's death truth to everyone ... and the plane crash truth to VaNi. Considering Veer has mentioned about having an inkling of the illegal business last week, I doubt they will do that anymore? And about the plane crash, I have honestly lost hope they will ever show it. Although, I wish they do. I still do hope though that at least SOME 'kaale kaarname' can be out. They really need to tie some loose ends that was literally the foundation of the story's progress.
Yes, Bani needs to punish a few Singhanias. But the interesting thing is how she would now do that since they are Veer's family and punishing/killing them would also mean giving Veer some sort of pain, emotional and otherwise. Which is why I am a little interested in how and what this track would lead to.
Yes, I'd like these answers to be revealed as well but IDK if they will. Certainly it seems like panditian was trying to tell Bani about her husband's death but even then I think she'll be killed before she can. But Teer's death, Noor's death etc. should be resolved. I think they've hinted to Veer enough times that there's some illegal activities going on, but haven't clarified what these are. TBH if I were him I'd have tried to find out by now, but clearly that's a writer's prerogative whether they reveal the truth to him or not, IDK, but I feel that's the only way Bani can justify killing Balwant to Veer, and him being okay with that.
Originally posted by: nikki.171 I think apart from Mukta didi's writing, the TRP's fluctuation has had a huge hand in ruining the story. In trying to chase numbers, kya se kya bana diya is show ko. If this wasn't an issue, I feel the show would have been SIGNIFICANTLY better. They have money to make though so I suppose, can't fully blame them either. Ghoom phir ke, I come back to the point wondering how different the story would have taken course if the numbers game hadn't messed up. Warna I toh don't even consider the Chandni track as part of the show 🤪Was too much even for Naagin. 😆 This is the thing that annoys me to no end. The chase for TRPs once again ruins the potential of a good story. This has been the kahaani since time immemorial, which is why I desperately want ITV to dump this TRP nonsense and just write the story they originally wanted to. I wonder how ITV shows would fare if they adopted the Western model of 20-24 episodes a season, shot in advance, with proper breaks in between. It's not that those shows don't have ratings concerns, but for the most part they are at least able to write the stories the way they want to without the constant and daily pressures of TRPs. Because otherwise what happens is the audience is hooked on the original premise, then TRP pressures kick in and the story takes weird turns but the diehard fans of the jodi/actors/whatever stick around just for them, and meanwhile spend all of our time rueing the lost potential of the story we started off with. I feel like since the Navratri track especially, the show has been desperately chasing TRP audiences and trying everything to get them, but I've always wondered why. Is this really a show designed for the typical TRP family? Surely those people are more invested in the SP model of shows anyway? A show like this is more geared towards audiences that tend to watch online rather than on TV (certainly, I hardly watch anything on TV anymore), who don't want that saas-bahu kitchen politics, who don't want uber conservative "haan-ji, naa-ji" mahaan bahus...so why bother chasing it when you don't fit that mould anyway? But like you say, it's a numbers game and mostly about the financials. Le sigh. This is something that's bugged me for years, and why I feel ITV can never rise above its mediocrity until it makes a significant change across the board to ignore the current ratings model or develop a better one. Simply saying "well, we have web shows for good content" isn't enough, I feel. It shouldn't be an either/or scenario. Yes, web shows can be bolder and take more risks, but ITV-watching audiences are also not stupid (not all of us, anyway 😆) and shouldn't be taken for granted. Then again, there are shows on the air right now that prove there is still a significant portion of the audience that will watch a certain stale formula over and over again, so I guess production houses are stuck between a rock and a hard place: either keep making the same kind of show over and over again because that's apparently what works, or try something creative in the knowledge it will almost certainly fail 😕 /rant 😆
