Firstly congrats on giving a sober reply (pardon the pun) to that obnoxious person's statement.

Secondly, I'd like to add that there is a thing called: high functioning addiction. The things you pointed out do not necessarily rule out alcohol addiction.

Without giving too much away, I have worked very closely with alcohol and drug addicts and . Many of them hide it very very well from others in their lives.

When it comes to Kareena Kapoor - or any other celebrity, we have to remember, that no matter how many films of theirs we watch, no matter how many photos we see of them on Instagram, no matter how many YouTube interviews we watch... we only see 1% of their daily lives (if even that). So to make assumptions like "she must be an alcohol addict because she's Punjabi" is not a good look, even if you saw 17 photos of her with a glass of wine. FGS
