Tbh I saw Raja Babu at the age of 14 or something for the first time and I found the choreo borderline, not really vulgar. Chichi Lolo never looked vulgar for some reason! Actually everyone till the 90s didn't look wannabes or sleazy, no matter what the costume/choreo was!

But I get it why it was controversial back in the day 😆 Another of Lolo's songs sexy sexy log bole had some crazyass controversies, from what I read off the net. So much so that they dubbed the word and censored bits of the MV 😆

But the tune is from Jab Dil Na Lage Dildaar Humari Galli Aa Jaana from the same film. Continue listening till the song starts, the koo koo koo from the song is changed to tu tu tu in the bg😆

Salim-Sulaiman have changed it a bit, but I have seen the og so many times ki samajh aa gaya 😆

I agree...well the age we were when this film was out we had no clue of the lyrics till we were in our teens to know exactly what it meant🤣the lyrics were full on double meaning and sameer ji covers it with art,gosh that was something but our parents were not fools too they understood all the meaning of the lyrics🤣he was sly but the audience were intelligent🤣

when Raja Babu came out i was 8 yrs old,i watched the film when i was 10 yrs old i remember my mom brought video cassette of the film and got a shock when she heard Sar Kay Lo Khatiya that she ask me to go into the room🤣. It was only when i was 16 years old i watch the film properly and understand it as well as saw the song for the first time and understood why my parents were hiding me🤣

when i watched it in my teens i only laughed rather than feel vulgar or cheap abt the song becos govinda-karishma covered the song beautifully with their natural effortless chemistry and energy. They made the song beautiful and iconic,the song went into my playlist and its still running now and i love watching the MV too. It was hilarious fun deep at the same romantic and sensuous,they look so beautiful together that nothing look cheap and vulgar the song sync with their effortless gorgeous chemistry and energy

If this song is remake in todays time than it will look vulgar n cheap becos none can touch the chemistry of govinda-karishma and the ability to make a controversial so iconic that its still loved

yup 90s songs were something else but that period was golden and we had powerful actors and they know their art craft and work,this is why we call 90s golden era and era of legendary pairs and proud to say govinda-karishma is on the list

I think the song you mention is from Khuddar starring govinda-karishma. I did not know abt the controversy but the film had beautiful songs woh ankh hai kya and tumsa koi pyaara is my fav ones

Esp the second antara when Karishma jumps on Govinda, she has her legs around his waist, facing him and he is in a pushup position moving aage while she holds on to him 😆

It never look vulgar to me too,they were cute and sensuous. They have effortless natural chemistry

Karishma have good chemistry with salman akshay but her on-screen soulmate is Govinda same goes to Govinda i like him with Raveena Urmila too but his on-screen soulmate is Karishma

Actually U know these characters made the dialogues even more epic. Coz alot of these have been used in the remake and voh wala maza hai hi nahi. The way these actors used to say it made it even more hilarious ❤️

I finally finished the movie yesterday. Took me 3 days. The whole time I kept wondering what kind of an ignorant, brainless, out of touch with society moron writes the jokes and the characters that were in the movie? HOLY SHIT! A whole man's comic thing is he has a speech problem! Not that it's part of his character and adds something to the story but it's just to laugh at! The whole concept of the movie is so crass. I can't believe they rewrote it but didn't update it for today's day. Heaven on the docks man!!!! Who writes shit like this and thinks it's funny? I am trying to think at what decade I last saw men dress up as women for comic purposes. Everything about this movie was so bad and outdated and just BADDD!
