I watched the entirety of the 2021 New Year Event on Star Plus and along with many others, Shivin's performance was one that I definitely enjoyed. Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan have sizzling chemistry together and they look so good as a couple!

The story of Kaira as characters as gone to the dumps but these two together can still create fire. They deserve so much better than YRKKH and Kaira now. Honestly, I would love to see them together in another platform, maybe a new show, a movie, or a web series.

I would even like to see them as the new generation of YRKKH with a new look, new names, and a completely new story (scrapping off whatever is left of Kaira). Just an overall fresh, new start.

Well, of course they still got it. They've only been working for a few years.

Their chemistry is great. But as actors they have to do other things too. Shivangi's main job is crying and she's stuck in this weird, shrieky zone. Also, her 'cute' acting is basically highkey baby talk & her comedy isn't all that great either.

TV actors who've moved to movies & webseries were legit good. (Not considering Bhatt's & AltBalaji's softp*rn content here). Sushant, Barun, Jennifer, Ankita, Sargun, Karan Wahi, Amit Sadh, etc. So Mohsin can may be try that.

But look at where the likes of Hina & Nia are stuck. Still famous but not good enough at acting to command serious offers. Shivangi will be stuck there too. (And I hope she knows it)

Agree with usernameyrrkh.

mohsin and shivji have great chemistry.

Acting wise, even though I dislike Kartik as a “hero”, I feel Mohsin is a much better actor. Even in the infant swapping episodes, Kartik’s breakdown with his 1st girl child Kaira was so so well done by Mohsin. I disliked the character but was really impressed with his acting. (And this is only one scene from many more)

I believe he can do much better because he definitely has the ability.

Shivi’s acting is alright. (My opinion, no offense to fans). She’s good but that’s about it. RN she’s only crying max times so it gets annoying. Plus like “username” said, her cute / comic acting has mostly been that babytalk voice which I find very off putting.

Agreed with the both the comments above.

In the beginning I used to think that Shivangi is a more natural actor compared to Mohsin, however, with time Mohsin has improved a lot, be it in emotional, comic or just regular every day kinda scenes. He appears very natural in his takes which makes me connect to Kartik’s character even if he’s in the wrong. His breakdown scenes are some of the best.

Shivangi, on the other hand, has kinda started over acting post the 5 years leap. I don’t like the kiddish voice she uses during romantic scenes and the ott crying in emotional ones. I think it’s more to do with the writing for Naira’s character. In the pursuit of portraying her as a Sherni and a problem solver, she appears like a school principal rather than someone who’s just giving advice. Compare her acting with Mohsin’s in the scenes when both are being preachy than you will know what I am trying to say.

Also, Shivangi doesn’t look and can’t act like mother. It’s been over a year and a half, and I still can’t connect to her and Kairav’s relationship though I love Kartik & Kairav’s.

Just gonna say that I think both Mohsin & Shivangi are good actors. Mohsin keeps getting better but maybe Shivangi needs better opportunities to express herself. Kartik’s role, though keeps fluctuating, allows Mohsin to show his versatility. Naira is stuck in the same loop, limiting Shivangi’s talent as well.

This is so true. Her baby voice is so annoying. I don't understand why the creatives don't correct her. Shivangi is still stuck in the same place where she started as Naira. No improvement whatsoever. On top of that, Naira's character has also become pretty much insufferable. On the other hand, Mohsin has evolved a lot as an actor. He is even tolerable in those cheesy romance scenes. His scenes with the kids are also good.

Oh yes, this too! Naira has a lot more scenes with Kairav & Akshu. But Shivangi hasn't been able to pull it off as well. I feel more invested in Kartik's fatherhood because of Mohsin's performance.. And his chemistry with the kids.

Mohsin also tries to cry differently based off what tragedy Kartik is going through. Shivangi does the same one-note crying everytime-- Be it a death or a misunderstanding.

Very true. Their dance performance was actually good. Also, Mohsin has improved so much as a dancer n Shivangi is a trained one. So she was really gud.

I agree, even I thought, shivangi is a better natural actor than Mohsin initially. But Mohsin has really grown as an actor. As a character, I did like Kartik bcos, I think it is one of d very few itv shows Wer heros of d show have actually raised d voice against their family instead of just standing there. But ya, later they kinda made Kartik's char tampered. Only reason, it worked I feel was bcos of his acting. Be it d drunk phase, naira's death or death of their first child . He has grown quite as an actor. That's one of few reasons I look forward to some intense scenes or his comic timing. He's actually gud at it, bcos story wise, d show has stopped making sense.

Mohsin got quite a variety of layers to play as Kartik competitively n ya, his chemistry wid kids is gud. For shivangi, she's a gud actor n I actually liked how she managed to do a mother's role at such early age n she was gud in Mumbai track as well, but somehow, its become quite redundant now. Even naira wid kairav scenes aren't dat great. Makers have made naira's character quite mundane n she cries too much. It looks more dramatic than feeling natural. That subtlety is missing I feel. She needs to be guided that the crying needs to be tonned down. Even dialogues r very similar n Der s no modulation as well. Maybe, naira's role needs more exploration or a variety n Shivangi needs to try different variety as well. She does have d potential.

ya they shud get a chance to explore outside.

I'm liking that they r doing MVS and stuff. But ya, wud like, if they wud get into some real gud projects of web further. Glad sum1 mentioned on Hina getting kinda same roles wid no scope for acting, it ain't dat great, n its mostly popularity than gud acting, no offense.

Agreed! I feel it also had much to do with both shivin's personalities and age that one is able to play a parent better than the other. Mohsin is a little older than shivi but he is also actually more mature than her when I see him off screen and maybe that;s why mohsin seems more natural than shivi in playing a grown up role of a parent.

I'm not aware of their off-screen personalities, so it could be that.

But I don't think a few years of age difference matters that much when it comes to talent. Both Mohsin & Shivangi have the same years of experience playing adult, married characters.

And Hina was 25 when she played a mother extremely well. Shivangi has 3 different ages floating online (22, 25, 27). Even if we go by her Wikipedia age, she's just as old as Hina was. Many ITV actresses have played motherhood roles well in their mid-20s.

There is no doubt on the fact that Mohsin is one of the best actors in tellywood at the moment. I think he plays kartik's role with ease because he is a natural, there is n't much difference between the way he cracks jokes, his affection with the kids, his care towards Naira onscreen as well as offscreen. Kartik's character has grown up from the sweet and cool mendak to a sher. However, its the opposite, for the way Naira's character has evolved. She used to be indeed a Sherni in rishikesh, switzerland and other sequences during akshara's times. Now, the very same character has become a cry baby, who does Sherni stuff by either scolding or advicing like a principal. When hina left the show it's like the she passed down the crying characteristics to Naira. Eventhough I loved her acting during akshu's birth, I feel even her smiles are beginning to look like cry now a days.
