Sorry to butt in, but SE, there are in general some people around us who is very much interested in on going things, you can talk to them. It can help you. For ex my baba always keeps tabs on current issue, if I've to know anything briefly I talk to him. So I'm sure there must be someone around you. Talk to them it really helps.
