I think it is his obsession with Bani, but just manifested in the way that it is triggered when he feels he is losing her. Even prior to the possession, he was most annoyed re: her relationship with Jai. With Shakura, etc., he didn't care as much bc he knew Bani felt nothing for him...but it's the Jai factor - not knowing, if things were different, whether Bani would still actively choose Jai over him. After all, they are Adi Naag and Adi Naagin, and technically and by nature, meant to be together. The only reason Veer ended up with Bani in this janam is because Bani thought Jai was dead.

That's why I think they had possessed!Veer say to Jai that he will never let him get Bani...the trip to the moon got him distracted for a second, but when he sees there's a real chance Bani could actually be lost, to Jai, I think that's dukhti rugh that hurts him the most.

I actually like Bani blue lehenga. No matter what I think Surbhi looked extremely beautiful in that look and it's because it gives me Princess Jasmine vibe and being an Aladdin fan I kinda dig the look but I agree it's not an outfit for wedding maybe something you would wear for a costume party instead.

I think that's my problem with it; it doesn't look like a wedding outfit, but more like a costume party one.

But I agree, Surbhi looks lovely! I find the majority of her looks on this show absolutely zabardast...it's very rare that they style her in a way I don't like 😳 . In fact I loved her red sarees in the last two eps. The one in Sunday's ep was so, so beautiful. She looked like an absolute pari with that soft, off the shoulder blouse...I wish Veer had seen his Bani in that 😳

I have major saree envy (and envy of being able to carry them off that well!), but moreso, jewellery envy! I want pretty much all her earrings 😆

I agree this their love should trigger him

But one thing after possessed only his insecurities are coming out more fiercely with normal veer he feel insecure also but he is tolerating because of bani. After possession how fiercely he told he never allow jai near bani i think this is the basic thing bani will think and decide to do drama to push veer to his limit and break the spell by using his anger or obsession or sanki vala pyar. Aakhir apna veer itna jiddi and sanki tho hai bani ki mamle me.

No the hypnosis is not stronger than his obsession the proof of which is that he is not completely hypnotised and he is fighting it. Evident from his conversation with Bani where he remembers how he behaved and also from how he remembers the encounter with samudra ke devtaa while talking with Chandini. As for why use Jai to break probably because throughout you see that his one and only insecurity when it comes to Bani is Jai and her bond with him. So, I guess it stands to reason that hypnotised or not he will not let him anywhere near Bani forget letting her get married to him.
