I didn't quite empathize with Heer yesterday. Her anger for being lied about her gender was justified, but she sounded very pretensious when she asked what is she if she is neither a woman nor a man? Wasn't she the one who was lecturing Virat to respect kinnars and that kinars are even better persons than the rest of us? I didn't expect her to think so little of kinnars. Even in the precap, she breaks the mirror because she thinks that kinnars can't be beautiful, only girls can.

When Saumya found out her truth, I could totally feel her pain. The acting was subtle and in Saumya's eyes I could read all the injustice of the world that was opened up in front of her. On the other hand, Heer has an attitude of "I think kinnars deserves respect, but I am just too good to be a kinnar!"...at least this is how it looked to me. I couldn't even watch most of her grievance, so I've skipped parts of it.

[/QUOTE

I expected such behavior because she did say, she’d kill herself if she finds out she’s a Kinnar. Don’t know why the writers are hellbent on telling the audience that kinnars are a curse and the worst. I hated when she said, she can’t be beautiful because she’s a Kinnar.🙄

And also I think to sympathize with other people is easier but then to go through the very same thing yourself is harder as it is you.. So yes she always was kind to kinnars and sympathized with them but obviously she never wanted to be one ..she once told Soham that she’d kill herself if she found out she was a kinnar. With soumya she had a fairly tough life ,.her own father hated her... so maybe as she had faced Hardship in her life she was in pain as it was another blow to her and we viewers felt her pain more strongly.. Heer when with her family always comes across as a pampered girl..becAuse that’s how she was Brought up,..But I did feel sad for her..it must be devastating to know you have this deformity and sadly the way kinnars are viewed in this show ..is inhumane. Her father in law said kinnars must stand on the road and dance and beg for money and not be made part of the family, So that mentality is quite sick..🤦🏻‍♀️

I fully agree with your comment. I felt so bad for Malika Aunty when Heer was going off. They really have no mercy for Kinnars.

Yes, most of her reactions are based on the fact that she was pampered and spoiled, and it was a shock for her to find the truth. But, it is in the moments of difficulties like this when our truth self comes to the surface. Tolerance is highly valued in our modern society and many people "are practicing" it because it makes them look good in their own eyes and in the eyes of others, only that they don't actually mean it. It was sad to see that Heer is one of them. All those years of befriending kinnars served at nothing if she asked what kinnars are. Well, they are human beings, at least this absolute truth should have been in the back of her mind and came out even now. She acts just as Soham or Virat acted when they found out the truth, only that she is the kinnar. She is overwhelmed by the same disgusting feelings. Very disappointed by the way they shaped her character. They could have done it better.

You’ve nailed it👏👏👏 Heer always had a good relationship with the Kinnar community, her only friend was a Kinnar, she blasted ppl who ill treated them, so her reaction after finding out she’s one doesn’t make sense. They’ve finally butchered her character in yesterday’s episode.

She also said about Nutan that she is very beautiful, and now she thinks that no kinnar can be beautiful!? There is something about Here's character that I find it really off, not only now, but like always. I can never tell where she actually stands. It's like the writers described her as a kinnar and no other trade of personality matters. For instance, when she was separated from Virat, she used to fight with his parents as well, pointing out their deeds, but now that they are her in-laws, she overlooks all of their wrongs, and she just wants to please them even too they haven't improve. It makes her appear opportunistic, changing according to the situation. As I said, it looks that the writers didn't spend much time on thinking who Heer is, just that she is a kinnar... like being a kinnar is enough to describe you as a person.

maybe that’s going to be her journey to accepting herself ...I think they may focus on that track for a while ..how heer changes from hating her identity to accepting it and then to standing up for kinnars and help bring about some change, I don’t think this time around they can show what happened with Harman , happening to Virat., The way they’ve grown Virats character has been excellent,.so I can’t see him bending to anyone’s will. Virat can’t be forced to marry another woman ...I don’t think they can show this ..as Virat would rather die than be without heer..also Virat has tried to move on with another woman ..the jharna saga..but he knows he’ll only be happy with heer..and somehow virats parents don’t have power over him where they can get him to do what they want,,usually they are the ones who eventually guve in to his wants,,so I think we will see sant baksh and Parmeet eventually accepting heer.. unlike Harman who was made to marry 2 other women after soumya. well at least I think the story may proceed like this ..however with these writers you never know 🤷🏻‍♀️. Also Rohan and Simrans marriage has to have happened for a reason. So that will be used in the story in some way..💁🏻‍♀️

I think Heer was this pampered spoilt girl who always wanted to get what she wants..she always wanted to be a bride ..and with that came the image of motherhood ..so she wants to have this perfect marriage with the in laws accepting her being part of the bargain, And the worse thing was when she asked her brother to marry her obnoxious pregnant sister in law..to preserve her in laws respect . And also to get her mother in law off her back.,So heer is spoilt, pampered and with it comes some selfishness..in that she wants her life to be perfect, but she’s not a bad person. So I think they may show her growth,.because we haven’t seen any character growth in heer yet. We saw Virat change..Harak Singh and preeto change,.their attitudes towards kinnars.. but now we need to see Heer Change..and embrace her identity. So sadly I don’t think we will see her go for any surgery or medical intervention...🤦🏻‍♀️...it’s probably going to be her accepting her identity.

Don’t know about anyone else but for me, today’s episode was an absolute yawn fest. Boring as hell and no movement.🙄

Same. Waiting for this track to be over. No matter what I can't relate to this Heer. Last episodes have totally changed my perspective of her. I thought of her as an educated, sensitive young girl. I can't believe that she was actually harboring such feelings about kinnars, that she agrees with the idea that baby kinnars should be sent away, that they don't deserve even their mother's love, etc. At least Virat was never close to any kinnar when he rejected her, but Heer grew up with them, and now she comes up with these ideas! Nonsense and out of the character.

I've always imagined that Heer will be shattered by the truth and that she will decide to go to the kinnars' world, but I believed that she would do it in order to protect her family from the repercussions of hiding a kinnar, not because "a kinnar belongs to her community only" 👎.
