And Aditya exactly knew what was going on in Geet's home when they were returning to their house. He told Geets uncles that they were married, then the question is that why did they waste Anshumans time to take him to Bathinda?

maybe but, without even hinting any of that from their parents...we are just resorting to conjectures. Parents were not shown as controlling at all. She picked boy from road and they were so chill.

True as in all BW love story movies, Director thought of a fall guy but did not care much about it as the main focus were Aditya and Geet.

Actually, when Geets family turned up at Aditya's office, Aditya told them that he and Geet were together so they were under the impression that Geet and Aditya were married already and wanted their daughter back at any cost and also thought that Aditya was actually rich also helped the cause.

Who runs away from home to marry without even informing the guy in first place? Anshuman might be an asshole but Geet was one foolish woman. Aditya was basically a good guy that he agreed to drop her home when she got off the train, otherwise she would have got the reality check long back.

She did not even tell anyone in her family about Anshuman when she could have easily told her parents or even sister Roop about it. We don't even know that Anshuman was actually into her or not, maybe he was just trying to save her izzat by trying to marry her.

A bit off topic but Roop was much more attractive than Geet. Aditya dropped a catch there.
