For a change, I would love to see an FL with an anger problem, who throws around abusive behavior, breaks glasses to threaten the ML, and then have the ML forgive them in the name of love. I think they showed Maya (in Beyhadh) this way but she was a blackish grey character. So, does that mean all this time the ITV MLs were blackish grey and we just had our blinders on?

I think we have been compromising a lot considering ITV & its quibbles 😆

I already have lowered expectations & know that more or less FL will be mahaan/doormat & ML will be abusive.

But, atleast don't try to subvert even lowered expectations 😆

I feel the same.. they had kept it enough open ended to swing it in both ways.. That's how most TV shows present a track, so that they can go to any direction with audience input & TRP..

They tried really hard to create sympathy for Mahima & show some behna love. But nobody gave a damn & from Day 1 everybody hated her, so they must have molded the track this way.. Rest we can say only after knowing who Anjali is & what her motive is!

Hahaha, true!

To give ITV credit, they generally do the falling in love phase pretty well, with the slow burn and all. But once the leads fall in love, the makers lose it! They bring in so much reality that shows stop being an entertaining escape. 🤣

I'm with Kashi on this one. I was also here for the romance, but that seems to be lost. YHC was really good parts of S1 and S2 until MU track started. Since then, show's gone downhill with only spurts of good writing. I can't watch something just b/c the actors are decent - especially in today's world where we literally have soooo many shows and movies to choose from. With so many choices, my choice will never be typical ITV drama. It's way too aggravating and not entertaining enough.

Ru's character development this year was the best I've seen in a romantic show. I really liked Pree's character and was waiting to see how her side would unfold. But nope. We didn't get that. And now, after all this abuse her character has faced, if next week, she doesnt stick up for herself in some way - I can't do this! I can't even imagine what I'll feel if she resumes life with him as if nothing ever happened! My kids watch this show with me sometimes - neither of them understand Hindi but they get the general gist and ask what's up all the time. How do you explain to your young son and daughter any of this is okay!? It's not! And this is coming from a mom who let her son watch John Wick when he was 5! That violence is allowed in my house. THIS one without consequences is not!

They built up Ru so much during the build up phase that the turn they gave his character is so disappointing.

Agree completely about only spurts of good writing.

More or less since the MU, they have really become a complete EK drama & steadily becoming worse.

There was atleast something to watch during KJ track but now this Mahima track has put everyone to sleep which is an achievement considering the way everyone was so excited during confession & HM phase.

Preesha's character was inconsistent from the MU track But here they have completely butchered Rudraksh after that feet touching drama and oxygen dialogue.

I am waiting for Khuranas and Srinivasan family to know that Mahima is fake who came to snatch Saransh from Rusha and then Rudraksh shud be blasted by Balraj and Sharda left right and centre for bringing that fake Mahima home.

Also GPS shud finally tell the Khurana family how they sidelined Preesha and her sacrifices for Saransh and also how all of them were so wrong to believe that fake Mahima as real.

Now I am eagerly waiting for the Khuranas to know Rajeev being murdered by Yuvraj and how Preesha took the murder blame on herself for Saransh.

More than Preesha's character, Rudraksh's character is being butchered badly.

Why he shud always break glasses and become abusive and make Preesha cry and then touch feet and show his anger and hatred as a part of his dangerous love ?

No doubt Preesha will finally get Saransh's custody back and that Fake Mahima shud be exposed in front of Khuranas and Srinivasan family.

After this track Preesha shud seriously leave Rudraksh as he is forgetting all the sacrifices done by her for Saransh and not valuing her at all.

Thank God Mahima is Fake & implanted by someone.

This time Preesha shud not forgive Rudraksh so easily for making her cry always.

Yup. Actually there's nothing else in this show apart from RuSha. Yes, they have developed RuShAnsh as well but it is still secondary.

Unlike other shows which maybe developed parallel tracks since beginning, this show focussed mainly on the lead couple story from beginning.

So, its no surprise that if they take out the main reason for watching this show, even TRP aunties are offended.

It's a shame really for such a great chemistry wala couple.

What I feel they keep this track on open end.So if things goes haywire they can always take the explanation on other route.Dont think this was their initial plan but could be cuz of low ratings.The essence of the show is love story of Ru and Pree and ofcourse it's butchered to extent that M is real or fake doesn't even count.

The makers had an excuse even - IPL was going on, BB got launched - they had to think of TRP audience. Some of us complained about the manhandling but mostly everyone was understanding.

It's what the makers did after that which is so annoying - brushed Ru's redemption under the carpet with a single gesture. All that trauma Pree and the viewers went through for an entire month were all for nothing. Then, they immediately brought Ru's confession and skipped Pree's realization track - oh we are just supposed to assume that she's been in love all along. And then tada, super quick honeymoon and two back-to-back big reveals without any individual focus on the characters. And now, with this Mahima track, they outdid themselves and butchered everyone so much that we now think that the KJ track was much much better.

I think they wanted to explore Saaransh ke liye at some point.

But if they had to, why couldn't they have done after MU resolution b& instead of rushed confession, they should have shown Rudra's redemption. Pree was anyways mad & she should have started Saaransh ke liye jaap at that time. It would have fit in more for her character than Rudra's.

She could have then said we're together only for Saaransh & after last three months (show's timeline), I think its better we remember we're together only for him.

Then they could have shown slow realisation for Pree & finally the confession scene.

This could have given them weeks of drama.

Instead they went overboard with Pree forgiving so quickly, then few happy scenes in HM & they were again scratching their heads for drama, so brought in Mahima.

100% That would have flowed much better and made more sense than the shit show we've been witnessing!

I just don't see how they come back from this. Really hoping they fix this some how but I just don't see it..

Oh, and Saraansh can stay in Ru's bed once Pree gets back custody. I think it'll be great for her to have a bed all to herself finally in S's room when Mahima goes back to the streets.

Speaking of which - can't wait to find out who planted her and who's been funding the jewelry
