April 4, 2008 (Sawf News) - Asked to comment on tabloid speculation that she is competing with Kareena Kapoor to become the highest paid actress in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif said 'such comparisons are not right.' In a long winded response that would make a British politician proud, Katrina told Time Now TV: "I think I still have a long way to go to garner a body of work like that of Kareena's. She is a fantastic actress and she has been here for at least six years before me. She is a superbly talented person and I think these kind of comparisons are not right. She is far more senior to me." We think Katrina was being more generous than she should have been because we can't imagine Kareena ever saying 'She is a superbly talented person' when talking about Katrina! Coming to think of it we cannot imagine ourselves ever saying that about Katrina. But that could be because we are out of synch with Bollywood. According to the Mumbai Mirror Katrina is being offered whopping Rs 4.5 crore to replace Jiah Khan in Ken Ghosh's Next. That is Rs 1 crore more than the highest paycheck Kareena has been offered and Rs 0.5 crore more than the paycheck Aishwarya will get for Robot.

Now that is going to give the Kapoor motor mouth a lot of sleepless nights.

I think that katrina is a very arrogant actress she actually looks a lot older than kareena and was outdone by bipasha in race.

I feel that she has had ladyluck on her side as all her films have done well, even though her acting is rubbish and the fact that she is salman khan has help her in bollywood.

I think the only film she was really good in was Namastey London, and that was because she was playing what she is an Nri. I am not being offensive when i say this as i am an nri as well.

It just annoys me when she is being compared to some actresses who have real talent. Let her prove she can act then she can talk.

she never even said anything bad about kareena 😆 she might not be such a great actress but atleast she is not saying something about a fellow colleague which is great 😳

Right in one. Katrina comes across as a classy lady who doesn't take potshots at other actresses, or make catty remarks or shoot her mouth off to get publicity...She doesn't flaunt her relationship with Salman either...She owes her career to Salman, but big deal, loads of actresses have a mentor/godfather/boyfriend/lineage to promote them...Kareena herself got a break courtesy her blue-blooded Kapoor lineage, gave a string of flops but was still approached thanks to her connections and talent...Katrina might not have a soupcon of talent and I'm no great fan of her acting, but as a person, I think she's cultured, classy and sophisticated

hows katrina arrogant shes never said one bad thing about anyone unlike some...good on katrina clearing it up media seems to create these rifts and as for kareena i doubt she even gives importance to other actors what they doing anyways ..both are doing well 👏 👏
