The entire revelation scene was rushed, the editing & flow of the scenes looked disjointed, something was off, can't exactly say what it was. Bani is swinging like a pendulum between her past & present. Right now, the weight of her past is way heavier than her present, it is understandable why she's still not totally kind or soft towards Veeranshu, and why she still trusts Jai blindly.
