Karishma is KWAN manager DP would not be the one paying her, KWAN would have been. She wasn’t hired by DP. She is a part of the agency just like DP. DP can also be dropped at any moment.

I don’t see how it’s bad if she is getting 50cr. Why would Karishma wants to stay with a company which is tainted to the core? KWAN is done, it will collapse soon. All the tentative to save it vain. Their big fish are still involved. I think it’s Karishma’s win to take the money now and dissociate herself. It’s not like staying with them could have save her from prison. They found drug in her house. She is going to be charged. There’s nothing KWAN can do for her, if she gets charged then they can fire her even without indemnity. So it’s better she takes the money now while resigning on her own. It’s a win.

Exactly this ! One can be the best at one's job but if they were to die, they'd easily ne replaced.

A company doesn't have emotions so there is no need to put it's all In the company imo. Juste enough to succeed while preventing to jeopardize oneself.

That’s implying the company asked her to deal drugs which I doubt seeing the amount they found. I don’t think it’s fair to call her a dealer.
Cannabis oil is widely used, I am sure you will find it in more home than you think.

I am not saying that but my first job was in a PR agency, not in entertainment but food and beverage. It is a ruthless and exhausting industry, and your firm drills into you to do whatever it takes to please clients, if not, you are fired. I am not kidding when I say my first performance review was I need to go on personal outings and socialize outside work with the clients for drinks and dinner, and do all my work and basically have no life.

The turnover in PR firms is extremely high, you are not only expected to do your office work but network with clients and build very personal relationships.

You never know how the firm may have indirectly pressured her to continue doing it, they do it in very manipulative ways. It's not always as black and white when you are trying to put food on your table and live out your passion.

Edit: also believe me or not, I have met someone who worked in Kwan previously a few years ago and she too told me she had consumed drugs with BW celebs. Its the culture, and I do not think one person should be blamed when in most likelihood the full company is doing it.

I know this kind of job can be tough but it's still a choice to be part of the glitz.

I personnally wouldn't put myself at risk for a job because if I have to serve prison, they won't be the one doing my time for me.

See the thing is that is the nature of the job. Not all jobs involve this ofc but frankly some of my colleagues who worked in different sectors like Govt. and MNC's, if some unpleasant incident happened including sexual harassment and yes even hit and run ( it has actually happened) your job is to save the company's image by hook or by crook. It's like being a lawyer, you sometimes defend criminals but here you're an employee and you have no choice.

All I am saying is, that its not that black and white, companies should be called out on fostering toxic work cultures where they literally leave an employee no choice but to join the rat race. I am pretty sure Kwan knows and encourages this kind of transactional behavior.

I have worked in hospitality and I have seen people breaking all limits of morality and ethics for promotion or clients. Some things made me wonder- WTH?

I know I am not calling her drug dealer.

I am saying if you feel something illegal going in your company, better leave the place. It is extreme difficult to fight a big corporation, unless you know laws and company secrets.

My first job was in most glamorous and expensive hotel group in India. I have faced something similar. You need to keep the client happy at any cost. Many clients have used us to negotiate business deals with each other.

I have been to more than enough parties and cocktails. This extreme party culture got me seriously tired after 12 to 16 hours shift.

Quite practical. Plus if one fights then the prime years will go in stress. Lawyer's fees will be too much, some struggling lawyers might have dubious loyalties... A lot of companies will stay away from activists, so employment opportunities are scant.
