Just a small drabble. Mon to Fri is a difficult time, halfway dying of suspense ki next episode mein kya hoga so this is how I guess we can ease up and wait.

Sweetheart
He loved calling her that. Of course, he felt that intense feeling of happiness when he addressed her as Mrs Veeranshu Singhania but calling her sweetheart was something else. She was his sweetheart. Only he called her that. He owned that about their relationship.
"Baaniii..."
When he heard that cheel call her like name like that, it triggered that intensity in him. Veeranshu was nothing if not crazy.
"Abe tu hai kon? Aur tune itni casually Bani ka naam kiya kaise?"
It just as intense feeling as he felt when Bani shouted "Veeranshu.." in worry when he fell down. Uff, Veer could have died of a heart attack in the way he called her if the situation was like that. Maybe he would also have commented about the way she got worried. While he was dealing with that, that stupid cheel called her sweetheart.
"Sweeet heaaarttt...." Then there was this, "meri hone waali biwi.."
What the hell was that about? Veer would have killed him for just that. He did kill him when he tried to forcefully marry Bani. She was his wife. Bani was always feisty. Veer and Bani both had this fire like intensity. Bani could call it her hatred, Veer would still call it love.
Revelations were surprising. Bani jumped out of the window for him? How did that happen? She could have died!! She knew that the one staying around her was the fake Veer. Anyone can call her sweetheart but it would still be different from the way Veer called her sweetheart.
Bani couldn't explain it. You can't explain that feeling in one word. In just that one word he called her, there was his unusual love, his passion, the burning intensity in him, his possessiveness and somewhere deep beneath a soft expression. It can't be possible for anyone to copy that. Veer had a short fuse but she doesn't know how he controls it so well. She always tries to push his buttons.
"Tumne soch bhi kaise liya hi main tume hurt kar sakta hun?"
Bani wondered, "How did I not realize it in the first moment I saw that fake Veer? He almost attacked me and tried to kill me. The real Veer had actual motive to come so close to kill me but he still didn't kill me. He didn't kill me, not even close to anything remotely dangerous. He truly believed that I had killed his twin brother."
Bani had no words to explain. For some reason, everytime Bani felt surrounded, she would grab for Veer. When all those cheels had surrounded them and at Balwant's order tried to kill her, Veer shielded her. She had grabbed his arm. She was Adi-Naagin. Powerful enough but in that moment she couldn't reveal herself. Again, when Shakura tried to grab her, Veer shielded her and even then she held on to Veer. Bani couldn't explain why she trusted Veer to guard her like that? Veer was no knight in shining armour. Quite the opposite. He wasn't a hero or anything. Quite the opposite. Still. Still, she believed that he would keep her safe. Why? There were so many whys when it came to Veer in her mind.
"Tum puchoge nahi ki yeh parda kyu hataya?" She asked when he came back to their room.
"Nahi. Puchunga tabhi tum jhooth hi bologi." He answered.
"Maine ise nahi hataya-" Before she could finish the statement.
"Pata hai." He cut her off. His sudden change surprised her. "Kya fayda hai. Maine apni feelings clear kardi hai ki main tumhare liye kya feel karta hu jab ki tum-"
"Main nahi karti-"
"Pata hai. Tum toh yeh bhi nahi maanti ki yeh pyaar hai, Bani."
Somewhere it hurt him. Was it the alcohol? He wasn't that drunk. Bani felt something when he said that. Was that vulnerability? Bani wondered but this was unlike Veer. He's always confident. She had outright said that she hated him but he never reacted like that before.
Bani looked at him for a moment. This was Veeranshu Singhania. Her husband. Her enemy. Her target.
"Sorry..." She said so softly that even she couldn't hear herself saying it. Why did she feel sorry at all? She wasn't responsible for what he felt for her and what she didn't feel for him.
A while ago he was here, teasing her and flirting with her and now he was so sulky. She couldn't sleep for a while. She turned around. Veer was deep in his sleep. Bani let her eyes linger on her husband. He was handsome. The most dangerous thing about him was his eyes. The deep intensity matched exactly as she remembered him.
"Tumhe woh itna sahi aur main itna galat kyu lagta hu?"
"Tum galat ho. Tum aadmi hi galat ho. Jai nahi."
She remembered the way he looked then. She didn't realize it until then. It was an odd understanding. Even Meera trusted Veer to save her.
Bani looked at Veer. He was handsome. His perfectly trimmed beard, his black clad clothing and a serene look on his face. Bani had to admit it, Veer was one of the most honest people she had met. For a moment, just for a moment, she was worried about him. He was crazy in so many ways. He almost threatened his family if they tried to hurt her. She had never felt so glad to see anyone alive as much as she felt when she heard Veer call her name. He was weak and himself gathering himself but he instantly dashed to get her.
She noted that there were still marks of the claws of Shakura attacking him. Cleaned up at bit. She moved his shirt a bit so it doesn't get up and irrate the injury.
"Kya karun sweetheart? Dil mein tha toh keh diya." The way he said that.
Veer was asleep but he felt someone tug his shirt. He felt soft touch on his neck. Bani. He realized. Was she checking his injuries? He felt her sit up.
"What if it burns? He'll wake up." Bani wondered. She blowed over the wound softly and applied the medicine.
It burned him when Bani said that. Still, he had to admit. He couldn't stop feeling whatever he felt for her. Veer opened his eyes and looked at Bani. She saw him.
"Why bother yourself with all this, Bani. Jab kuch feel hi nahi karti toh itni takleef lene ka kya matlab." Veer questioned her.
"Kyuki main biwi hun tumhari." She replied. Veer sat up. Both of them looking into each other's eyes. What he wouldn't give to kiss her in that moment. Even if it is his life that he has to give to atleast once have her look at him with love, he'd give it up gladly.
Veer grinned.
"Uff... kya tareeka hai, sweetheart. Dil bhi tod rahi ho aur haq bhi jata rahi ho. Acha hai..." He teased her.
"Don't you have a t-shirt that won't inch towards that wound? The neck of this t-shirt can irrate the injury."
"Bina t-shirt ke sona best hoga, nahi?" He teased.
"Shut up." She told him and walk up to his cupboard. She picked out a wide neck t-shirt and threw it at him.
"Change kar lo." She told him. He simply pulled his shirt over his chest and changed.
Bani walked up to check on the other wound. She blowed over it and started carefully applying the medicine over it. Veer could smell her honey and lemon scent. He closed his eyes, feeling that closeness.
"Goodnight, sweet heart." He told her. He started shifting around on the bed. In a suddenly movement, he turned around and she put her hand over the wound. Not really touching it but making sure it doesn't rub up on the pillow.
"Can't you sleep properly? Stunts karne ki zaroorat hai kya? Abhi abhi ointment lagai hai. Aise so jaaoge toh dard hoga. Badi badi bakwaas karte ho. Khud ka khyal nahi rak sakte mujhe promise le rahe ho." She scolded him. He chuckled.
"Sweetheart, duniya mein har koi apne khyal hundred percent khud rakh sakta toh shaadi naam ki cheez exist nahi karti." He answered. He simply laid down comfortably with her hand covering his wound. He'd take whatever she was offering.
