Theaters reopened in some states and regions. In others, it's still closed. No big Bollywood releases this year except 83 on Christmas supposedly (which might also postpone). All movies got postponed to next year.
Faltu ke log darr rahe hai. Double mask laga ke aur sanitizer use kar ke Covid patients ke bagal mein bhi baithoge toh kuch nahin hoga. All the theater owners need to do is to sanitize all the seats after every show and make sure the audiences wear the standard masks.
Certain regions and states have reopened cinemas. But I don't think they have opened in major cities yet. Films are being rereleased as of now, no major film releases this year...most of them have been either delayed or moved to OTT.
Theatres still have to come up with a safe blueprint with COVID still going on.
Yes
But 50 percent capacity.
They tried to model like us and re released old films, but they didn't realise india doesn't have movie or film culture so they all turn out disaster.
Unless new films are slated to release most won't open as it's not profitable.
Delhi has opened its cinemas, amongst multiplexes it is pvr cinemas mostly. They are show casing year old movies.
Cinemas need to be closed, people can watch movies on netflix or others digital platforms, a lot of ppl are dying and health should come first.
Just look Europe and other places they left them more freedom and now again they have a second wave. It's not a joke.
