Rakhee's spectacular performance in Karan Arjun I always thought she must have won lot of awards but how unfortunate not even a single award or recognition for her incredible role,I can't imagine anyone else as the mother acting so wonderfully that her dialogues are still remembered even today. I wish she won awards 😔

so wasn't Farida Jalal in DDLJ though, who won the best supporting actress.

That Filmfare was shambolic anyways, with DDLJ hoarding awards.

The fact Adi C won the best director over Ram Gopal Verma, says it all.

Its not always about the story its how the movie is directed and the emotions it creates with audience. DDLG was a fresh love story that was one of the best directed movies. Also its not appropriate to pitt one movie against another when they both belong different genre.

Technically, she was the lead actress in Karan Arjun. Mamta and Kajol were supporting actresses.

She should have been nominated. She'd be contesting with Urmila, Manisha, Kajol, and Madhuri. Urmila should have won it but Rakhee deserved a nomination.

Technically Danny Denzongpa and Pran were the lead actors in Sanam Bewafa not salman was they were nominated in best supporting actors.

It might not have won awards but this along with her similar Baazigar performance was one of the most spoofed performances for sure

Her ‘baby talk’ was the butt of many jokes, ‘Mere Bete Ayenge’

Before all this advancement in cosmetic dentistry in India, the villains had the best teeth and laughter in BW movies

They died kutte ke moth at the hands of the hero cz cops always arrived late, but until then they lived the life of Reilly with the additional pleasure of torturing and tormenting their enemies,

But I only envy their hearty laughter :)

Yes he got nominated in filmfare for best performance in a negative role even he should have won.
