Anuradha Paudwal much better than Alka as her voice is very powerful. Alka though good, but very overrated. Sadhna Sargam is better than Alka.

Churake dil mera, though originally sung by Alka, Anuradha too sang it under T Series cover version. I find Anuradha's more beautiful than Alka's original.

Alka without any doubt.

Alka for sure! She had a very melodious voice that could be romantic as well as sensuous. Also felt her voice suited more heroines

Alka yagnik definitely has bigger range

Anuradha Paudwal became very popular in early 90s among the public. Those people who have seen her era know it very well how she became very popular amoung the audience and also known for her beauty. She was the first Bollywood singer whose face featured on the cassette covers more than the film actors. She quit at peak and thereafter Alka had strong associations with Nadeem/ Shravan , Anu Malik and other new music directors through Tips and Venus. They all gave many hit songs together and Alka became a sensational and favourite among the audience because of huge collection of her songs. The public liked Alka's voice but I don't understand why Sadhna Sargam is so underrated.

Has anyone heard Alka’s voice recently when she sings along in reality shows where she’s the judge?

It is unbelievably bad! It’s very squeaky or screechy. The first time I heard it I thought it was joke, she’s doing this on purpose

I don’t know how AP’s voice has aged but quality wise she might be better, maybe AY emoted better in some 90s songs and her voice suited most of the 90s heroines better

Although Sadhana Sargam might be better than these two :)

TFS, hearing it for the first time, sounds good but I feel AY’s voice suites SS better or maybe it’s just nostalgia...

I heard both versions of “Mujhe Neend Na Aaye” song and I preferred AP’s version bcz I though her voice was less squeaky
