Not transfer but jai was chosen as adi nagraj as he was the love interest of nageshwari.
But now since veer is married to bani he will be the official adi nagraj even though bani loves him or not.
Even jai has committed few crimes as well now who is the current adi nagraj of nag clan as jai has lost it after committing a sin

Veer got to know that Jai is a Naag without recalling his past, it could be that he might learn about Bani's real identity on his own as well. Unlike Bani, Veeranshu is a character who's firmly rooted in his present. In case he is unable to find out who's the Adi Naagin after the remembrance of his past, he might just get to know Bani's truth like he got to know in Jai's case. If you remember before they saw Veer transforming into a Cheel, they realized after their tandav that Veer is Aakesh, basis Bani's hate for the Cheels.
The exposure of Bani's identity is definitely a high point, but I think he can be able to join the dots basis he is an intelligent man himself.
