True! Surbhi and Sharad can convey so much without uttering a word! The makers should use their talent and write some scenes without dialogues!

I love when two people just understand each other with mere nuances!❤️Veer has done it a few times, am waiting when bani starts reciprocating too!❤️

Yes! Exactly! It will be so meaningful and personal.

That is exactly where I started facing a problem while doing the second part. We know Veer's love language but we know nothing about Bani. Because let reciprocation be... she has never paid attention to Veer. Working on Bani's characterization as of now.

Hello everyone 🤗

I was running a little low on inspiration but finally managed to complete this update. Had originally planned to do three scenes but just did two because the update exceeded two thousand words. Plus the third scene suits better in the next update. Please read and do let me know how you feel about it.

Naina I really hope you like this one. Bohot mehnat lagi hai yaar.

Mistake. She made a mistake. 'Its okay Bani' she spoke to herself 'After all this is your first Karwachauth'. Her mother in law would have given her Sargi if she was around. But that is not the case right now. Bani should have thought about everything. She did not, so she will have to find some food for herself. She opened the fridge making a mental note to plan her Sargi well in advance the next time.

Bani's stomach did ecstatic cartwheels as she turned her eyes upon the chocolate ice cream sundae in the refrigerator. A ruby-red cherry perched atop the inviting drizzle of gooey syrup. Colourful sprinkles were tauntingly scattered upon the bowl of goodness. She almost neglected to pick up a spoon as she eagerly reached for the delectable dessert. Chocolate ice cream at the beginning of the day. She could not have asked for more. She placed a spoonful in her mouth, the silky-smooth texture that came forth brings nothing but pure bliss. And so many good memories. The plausible taste of true love, the perfect mix of bitter and sweet with a surprising tinge of mint felt like pure luxury. It had been such a long time that she had enjoyed some good chocolate ice cream.

"I guess I am missing something." Veer playfully raised an eyebrow seeing his wife who looked more like an excited child right now. Ice cream smeared on her mouth.

"Veer tum... Iss waqt yahaa?" Bani was surprised.

"Main toh tumhaare liye aayaa hoon sweet heart." Veer walked towards her.

"Veer subah ke saadhe teen baje hai, please jaakar aaraam karo. Thakaan ho rahi hogi tumhe. Main apni sargi khaakar aati hoon."

"Mujhe bhi sargi khaani hai." Veer announced.

"Par sargi toh..." Realization dawned on Bani at this moment. "Tumhe bhi vrat rakhna hai?"

"Obviously sweet heart."

"Veer you really don't have to, Husbands nahi rakhte Karwachauth ka vrat. Tum jaante ho naa koi compulsion nahi hai."

"Baaki husbands ke baare mein main kuch nahi jaantaa lekin mujhe yeh tumhaare liye karna hai Mrs. Veeranshu Singhania. Tum bhi meri iklauti patni ho, tumhaare liye vrat nahi karunga toh aur kiske liye karunga." Veer winked.

"Lekin..." Bani was thinking about a logical argument.

"We are in this together Bani. Agar tum meri lambi umar ke liye pray kar rahi ho toh main bhi tumhaari lambi umar ke liye pray karunga."

"Aisa nahi hota" Bani tried to protest.

"Mere pyaar mein aisa hi hota hai jaan, sab equal equal. Agar tum vrat rakhogi toh main bhi rakhunga." Veer said in finality.

"Agar main kuye mein jaa kar kudungi toh tum bhi kudoge?" Bani literally blabbered whatever came to her mind. She knew Veer cared for her very much. She also knew that many husbands do fast for their wives but she did not expect Veer to do something like that for her.

"Chalo! Kaunse kuye mein kudna hai?" Veer wiggled his eyebrows. Both of them laughed. "Paagal"

"Veer, main tumhaare saath argue karke tumhe aur pareshaan nahi karungi, I really appreciate ke tum meri itni parwah karte ho. Thank you."

"Fridge mein fruits hai aur salad bhi. There is some milk and bread as well. Help yourself." Bani gave some suggestions and concentrated back on her ice cream which had begun to melt.

"Lagta hai tumhe mujhse zyada ice cream pasand hai. I need a taste of that." Veer said mischievously.

"Main apni chocolate ice cream kisi ke saath share nahi karti. Agar tumhe chahiye toh fridge mein se le lo." Bani made a face.

"Achha?" Veer took baby steps towards Bani.

"Veer... Yeh kya karne ki koshish kar rahe ho?" Bani asked curiously as she began taking steps backwards. Then, she had to stop. Her back thudded against the fridge. She tried to move away but he placed his hand on her side.

They both gazed in each others eyes longingly; not a word spoken by either of them. She thought she was trying to search for something in his dreamy eyes. He had such an impact on her. No sooner he clutched his hands into her lower back, leaning her in against his muscular body; he carelessly caressed the molten chocolate stuck on her lower lip. Bani was honestly weakened by his gentle seductive touch. But she clearly saw when he sucked on his thumb to have a taste of her chocolate ice cream.

"Not bad". He whispered in her ear.

"Veer tum... bohot badmaash ho." Bani gathered words as her chest rose and fall.

"Agar meri taareef hi karni hai toh kuch aisa kaho na jo mujhe pata na ho sweet heart"

Bani was about to say something but suddenly they heard Ponky, Daksh and Monil scream in the hallway.

"Yeh log kar kya rahe hai.” Veer was confused.

"Praan nath yeh aapke happy waale birthday ki surprise party ki teyyari kar rahe hai." Bani did not know why but she just wanted to be dramatic in that moment.

"I guess I will have to act surprised then!" Veer smiled as he saw Bani giggling.

"So do you want to go back and sleep?" Veer asked thinking about what they could do together if she did not want to sleep. Maybe he could read her something nice or show her his childhood pictures or...

"Tumhe neend nahi aa rahi?" Bani asked him.

"I have a meeting at seven. Agar abhi soya toh waqt par waha pohoch nahi paaunga."

"Mujhe bhi neend nahi aa rahi. I think I need some fresh air."

"Ghar wali, hum drive pe chale?" That seemed like the best idea to Veer.

"Kya hum beach pe jaa sakte hai?" Bani just made it a hundred times better.

"Aapka hukum sarr ankhon par Mrs. Veeranshu Singhania" Veer bowed down and gestured "After you."

Bani handed a basket of fruits to Veer to carry and flipped her hair as she walked out of the kitchen. "Ghar waali ke nakhre uthaane ka sukh, har kisiko ko thodi prapt hota hai." Veer spoke to himself and walked behind her.

~~~
Even if it was a few minutes past four in the morning, coming to the beach with Bani was a good idea. Veer smiled at the thought. She was playing with the sand when he sat behind her. "Yahaan aakar mere mann ko bohot shaanti milti hai Veer." Bani said to Veer as he wrapped his arms around her and enveloped her in an embrace. She was surprised. Yet again. Every time he looked at her, spoke to her or touched her, it felt like the most real habit that can be. For both of them. Warm and comfortable. "Haan Bani mujhe bhi bohot sukoon mila, never realized how badly I needed this." Veer whispered in her ear, his beard slightly pierced the skin of her neck.
Bani closed her eyes and murmured into the breeze, breathing in the briny aroma. Scrunching her toes, she felt the softness of the sand. She fluttered as a shiver cascaded down her spine and her eyes opened. She could feel Veer's breathe on her neck. The sand blurred out in a long blissful trance, the shore fading into liquid silver, vivid in the brilliant darkness before sunrise. Her pale lips curved upwards.
She bestowed her gaze to the far off horizon, the mystical hues of the sky melting into the ocean like a divine painting. The forever stretching sea is masked with navy blue colour, that beautiful umber flowing into turquoise. Through narrowed eyes she watched as each wave overlaps one another, sending the white bubbling crests descending, masking the shore with the transparent fading water.
The dark sky was tranquil. She thought it was made of velvet and embroidered with countless stars. Those stars illuminated the darkness and her fears crumbled to dust beneath her feet. The words, the lies, the hatred, the failures--they now lingered at a distance. She was reminded that wounds would eventually heal into scars, some of the permanent, some of them not. No longer did she stand in the shadow of the past. Instead, she stepped forward in hope of reaching the stars one day.
She could feel how Veer's arms were wrapped around her. Possessive and protective at the same time. Worried that she might start over thinking again. Careful that he does not hurt her.
"Bani tum theek ho naa?"
Bani did not say a word at that moment but Veer just pressed a kiss in her hair.
The way he held her in the darkness felt like a little touch of heaven, cozy. She wished she could extend the night just so she could stay close to him for a little longer, safe . Veer's arms bring a peace she had never known before, a calming of the storms in her heart. It was him that gave her hope for the future. He said he got her back and so she started to believe that there is nothing out there to fear, that all there is is sunshine, beautiful trees and kind people.
"Main theek hoon Veer". She said. She leaned in and lay her head on his chest. It felt like the most natural thing to do. She could feel his heart pounding in his chest...duh-duhn, duh-duhn.
"Sach bataao Bani, pyaar karne lagi ho na mujhse?"
"Pata nahi. Shaayad. Thoda thoda sa." Bani wanted to be so careful about what she said because Veer is a kind hearted person. She knows that either she can love him the right way or lose him. Can she love him? She can try. Can she lose him? No.
"Main tumse jhoot nahi bolungi Veer, Pyaar ke khayaal se hi darr lagne laga hai mujhe. Yeh soch ke ghabra jaati hoon ke kahi khudko itni chot na pohocha doon ke sambhalna hi mushkil ho jaaye." She is reminded of every memory of Jay as she speaks.
"Tumhaare pass rehkar iss ehsaas ko samajhne lagi hoon. Pyaar woh nahi hota jo humme baandh ke rakhe, zimmedaariyon ka ehsas dilaayen. Pyaar toh woh hota hai... Jo dil ko sukoon de, zindagi ko samajhne ka ek nazariya de. Khushi de." Will she be able to explain this feeling?
"Apne aap ko thoda waqt do Bani. Aur apne dil ki awaaz ko sunne ki koshish karo. Kyonki main tumhaare dil ki awaaz ko sunn bhi raha hoon aur samajh bhi raha hoon." Veer assured her.
“Meri itni parwah mat karo Veer. Main toh iss laayak bhi nahi hoon. Tumhaare jazbaaton ke saath zyaatti hogi. Mera itna khayaal rakhne ki koshish mat karo. Agar main tumse kabhi sachha pyaar kar hi nahi paayi toh? Mujhe tumhara dil nahi dukhana.” She disrespected him, threatened him and kept pushing him away. Wouldn’t it be easier for him to just let her go.
“Aage chalkar kya hoga iske baare mein mat socho. Khudko itna pareshaan mat karo Bani. Mat socho ke tum mere laayak nahi ho, mat socho ke tum mujhse pyaar nahi kar paaogi. Sab ulti seedhi baatein hai, galat hai, jhoot hai.” Veer knew that he would do anything and everything in his power to save Bani even if it meant to save her from herself.
“Toh sach kya hai Veer?” Bani pleaded.
“Iss pal ka sabse bada sach yahi hai Bani ke hum dono ek doosre ke saath hai. Toh saath milkar iss pal mein thodi si khushiyaan dhund lete hai. Kal ko kal handle kar lenge.” Saying that he got up and helped Bani get up as well.
“Aisa kyon kar rahe ho Veer? Please mat karo.” Bani requested Veer. She did not know if she could offer him anything other than the shards of her broken heart and emptiness.
“Main aisa isiliye kar raha hoon sweet heart, kyonki main tumse bohot pyaar karta hoon.” Veer held her face in his hands and bared his soul. Bani was overwhelmed. This was not the first time he was expressing his love for her but this time he did it in such a way that she wanted to believe him. She wanted to believe in this relationship. She truly wanted to give this marriage a chance.
In Bani, Veer saw the chance for the kind of love they say does not exist anymore. The type that spans far longer than one lifetime. Veer wanted a love that is passion and determination, fire with earth, yet is also a serenity souls can dwell in forever. It is not the kind of love for mortals. He knows Bani needs time but he also knows that he will wait for her. He will help her heal even if it meant that sometimes it would hurt himself. It has taken courage for her to walk into the light after a lifetime of semi-shadows alone. Now she has him.
“Come on lets walk for a while.” Veer held her hand and turned to walk. Looking at the waves .
“Veer” She called him.
“Haan sweet heart” He looked back at her.
“Happy birthday “
“Thank you”
i was lying down and reading it on my laptop. but when veer came to have sargi, i got up immediately and started reading so seriously.
you’ve got me all giggly and i have butterflies in my stomach reading this, literally. sOOO many good moments and lines where do i even start?
veer keeping karva chauth is everything and it makes my heart melt cause i know show pe bhi real veer would keep it for bani.
"Mere pyaar mein aisa hi hota hai jaan, sab equal equal. Agar tum vrat rakhogi toh main bhi rakhunga." Veer said in finality.
THIS LINE i love love love. veer’s love is equal. ji huzoori wala pyaar nahi, proper barabari wala pyaar hai.
him taking the chocolate from her lips and then having a taste from it ohmy, that was a very good line. the "Not bad". He whispered in her ear. got me weakkkk omg this is so chill but speaks like a thousand words
them going out to the beach was such a good move, i like that they didnt go back to sleep and that they got to chill together. the descriptions u made of them on the beach, bani’s inner monologue and how she felt was simply amazing. you’re such a good write uff
i liked how both of them openly spoke about love and bani was able to convey her feelings for him
Pyaar woh nahi hota jo humme baandh ke rakhe, zimmedaariyon ka ehsas dilaayen. Pyaar toh woh hota hai... Jo dil ko sukoon de, zindagi ko samajhne ka ek nazariya de. Khushi de.
this was absolutely lovely, kyunki sach kahaan.
i’m sOOO hyped omg you’ve made my entire night thank you for this updateeee i loved it so so much hayeee dil khush kar liya🤗
That line is so Veer... He could literally make bani all mushy and romantic on the inside and be all cool.
I am so glad you liked the beach sequence. Now that I wrote it. I want to see Vani on the beach!
Taking them out of a mischievous and playful scene and giving them some quality time to have a real conversation was a task
