It was the time of twilight, the light of the sun was dimming giving the cue of approaching darkness and Greyish blue hue to the light. Though it was a mundane phenomenon but not for Geet. Today, it was her wedding anniversary.
A smile spreads on the Geet's face, remembering the first time she met Maan.
Theirs first meet wasn't the usual type neither filmy where hero and heroin collide and scattered books but it included books...as her husband is far away presenting his new research paper at royal academy of science she decided to write to him….or would try to pull him out of his research mode….

Today is our anniversary, I know you remember and have wished me in the morning itself but I want you to remember our very first meeting….which enthral me to no end...may be this distant would be bearable to some extent…

First time we met you gave me a book. To give that book to some Aachyutam... It was a practical book. I was reluctant and you caught that. Why would I take the book from someone I don't know to deliver it to some Aachyutam, I had no acquaintances with. No? Then you lined the double "Aa" of Aachyutam written over the book, and asked me "Do you know what this means?" I shook my head clueless.
You shook your head disappointed. I still remember the expression on your face. You know you should had been photographed.
" This means...this poor guy is going to bear the brunt for the whole batch"
You sighed exasperated " He is the roll no. 1, whom they are going to grill for the longest"
"Oh" I took the proffer book sympathetically as the misery of being first on roll-call dawn on me. You know what I thought at that time I never voiced it out but today Iam willing to spill the beans. I thought how inconsiderate are parents that they name their child starting with 'A' then thanked my parents to name me geet...beech mein ata, na pehle na bad mein...naam bhi acha hain. Haina?
Okay coming to our pehli mulakat, after receiving the book, It felt like I was on some mission and hurried toward the lab with the speed of sound if not light.
Alas!!! ….
I found viva had already started. You know how disappointed was I? Helplessly I stood there waiting for the practicals test to get over. It was 1st semester our whole batch was anxious and clueless but being a second section we were in a bit better position. Ready to grab the information flowing through the first section.
Then. Then. A page fell down from the book. I lifted it. "Rat lo" was its starting line. Followed by probable questions told by our professors in the entire session which I couldn't attend due to appendicitis and later operation. Finally the tubelight glowed, I peeked in. You sat there answering confidently. A smile lit up on your face. You were very considerate Maan. But why you made me run? And Did you get the wheels installed instead of legs? How did you reach there before me?
Why did you help me?
After nagging you for whole course period one day miracle happened….you elevated from your usual hmm-haan and finally said
"You wouldn't have taken my help if offered directly"
Later you kept safest distance perhaps to resist my charm….but I have been wondering lately Aachyutam Maan, when you fell for me?
