Bhumi from dum lagake.. Though I wanted her to be even more assertive, I have to make peace with the fact that the movie was set in the 90s..she was quite a firebrand for her times.. Plus her character was loveable, sanskari yet empowered... Thank God she wasn't some abla nari

My definition of sanskari is a bit different from the tv serial types though.. It means respect for family values and being humane.. It doesn't mean that the girl has to tolerate bakwas and undergo psychological trauma for ghar ka imaginary izzat .. Sandhya is just that
