Collateral damage of surrogacy track

Besides the torture that Mishti and torture that Mishti and Abir are facing at the hands of Kuhu ( that is unbearable to audience), there is another problem that has cropped up. Kunal supporting a Kuhu is every way and sympthasizinf with all her unfair demands and complan8 g to Abir that Mishti is not taking care of Kuhu.

We all saw Kunal had an unfavorable attitude towards Mishti but that was because what he faced with Mishti, it was not because of what Kuhu told him. And that is why Abir tried to explain to Kunal why Mishti was right and what she meant to him,

.but this time it’s different. It’s very obvious by the pain on Abir’s face that he just tolerating what Kunal and Kuhu are saying and he is not liking Kunal behaviors nor justifying Mishti.

Kuhu is doing irreparable damage to the brothers bond of Abinal... does Kuhu really want that?

When Kuhu is nasty to Mishti and then nice to Abir, does she think Abir cannot see that? He will not forget this.

Inspaite of this ill treatment if they show everything well in the end of show and Abir happily accepting Kuhu in the end of this track, that is just killing his character once again. it’s stupid of Kuhu to believe that by bad mouthing Mishti she will be treated better. Instead the bond between brothers is totally destroyed forever, this Abir who stood by his brother when he rightvor wrong, and cor4ected him when he wrong and got upset with him when Kunal spiked Nish drink, because It

seems Abir is not even trying to correct Kunal.. he has lost Faith In Kunal, hope in Kunal... that real death of relations !

I wonder is this the same show which I started watching or different one??

I really hope some miracle happens and Mishti becomes Pregnant and Kuhu gets punished for her evil actions 🤞

In the recent interview Shaheer mentioned regarding this... the brother's bond had to be explored more ... maybe showing rift between abir and kunal...because of kuhu...but they stretched it too far with the unbearable comments and taunts by kuhu....now i don't think they will go for it...

After baby is born, everyone will forgive Kuhu in a minute, including Abir, excusing her atrocious behavior with Mishti as “hormones” 🤪

Nobody in that family cares about Mishti’s humiliation in the long run. They pay lip service to her pain, anguish then turn and forget all about it! If Mishti herself thinks she deserves such treatment then what can we expect from others? Neither she nor Abir are willing to risk their baby’s well being so they are keeping quiet. But will they reprimand Kuhu after baby is born? No they will be eternally grateful to Kuhu, provided she actually hands over the baby to them and doesn’t refuse handover to gain property and upper hand over Mishti.

they have made mockery out of the surrogacy concept. something 'Friends' handleled so wonderfully 25 years ago with phoebe and even adoption track with mondler, can't believe indian tv still can't handle it in 2020 👎🏼 (there probably can be some tv shows which did, but this one definitely isn't)

There are too many cultural differences to compare how it was handled in Friends to this. I don't think we're at a point to accept sister carrying brother's baby, and that was a comedy show, not drama. In this show though it is on some other level - they want people to run at the very idea of surrogacy!

That's where we are heading. Given the time constraint, we can assume we are not going to get any proper redemption.unless we get an extension. And going by the history of abir and mishti they will easily forgive and move on.

Both surrogacy and adoption have their pros and cons and it's a couples choice. Both these topic are sensitive issues of our society and that's why I was always against this track in the first place( given the history of the ph handling such tracks) They could have stick to the idea of encouraging people to go for adoptions and not demean surrogacy.

Agreed. Adoption would have been the best ending to the whole baby track. Surrogacy would have also been good if it had been done differently. Honestly, the surrogate does go through a lot, and it is a big deal. There are too many things here:

1. Surrogate is Kuhu, and her relationship with Mishti is not great to start with.

2. The reasons they had MishBir and Kuhu agreeing to the surrogacy were poor, and the reasons they showed for Kuhu having kept the going with the pregnancy were even worse because it clouds everything she does during the pregnancy for the audience.

3. If the mood swings and cravings were shown with another surrogate (with no previous history) it might have been better received. On the other hand, if the surrogate was someone else, the surrogate wouldn't find fault with Mishti or compare what Mishti gets and so on.

4. Mishti would have gone through this pain regardless of who was surrogate because she is feeling bad she is unable to carry the baby. It is made worse by the fact that she seems to get nothing right as far as Kuhu is concerned. But decision was hers to go through with this, so she has to deal with the aftermath.

5. Kuhu thought she would get the limelight by doing this and is now realizing the limelight is the baby she is carrying, and so she feels cheated and scared for the future because she got into this with a goal that doesn't look like it will be realized. And, she is probably going through a lot more (because of the pregnancy) than she had imagined. This is why they don't allow a person to be surrogate unless they've had a child and gone through it.But decision was hers to go through with this, so she has to deal with the aftermath.

6. Kuhu's (and probably Kunal's?) idea on how MishBir should show gratefulness for what she is doing and MishBir's idea of the same doesn't seem to match. Bound to happen!
