A word of appreciation for meera

They constantly keep presenting meera's character, via dialogues as this ugly, undesirable duckling with dark skin.... yet whenever I see her on screen she looks so beautiful and angelic that I can't take my eyes of of her, whilst I never even notice those other 2 dumb sisters of hers as they look so average to me. It just looks so ridiculous to me whenever meera herself or anyone else talks down her looks, when she's so freaking gorgeous looking. Am I the only one who also finds it silly to see a pretty actress playing a character who is treated like the most hideous thing you could possibly lay your eyes on? 😆

She is not ugly on the contrary she is actually very pretty. Perhaps they say she is undesirable because of her dusky tone as some people still hold on to colorism.

Weirdly in the show Vishkanya she was considered to be really beautiful, that is her character so I guess it’s just what the makers want us to think. But what I can’t understand is why is she given very less screen space when she has the potential to become Bani support system throughout the show? She even knows that Bani is a Naagin and has managed to keep that secret well towards herself. Can’t the makers do something about her character and somehow get her in the Singhania mansion to support Bani?

See, I haven't seen the episode completely, but in bits and pieces. For some reason, I am compelled to believe that Meera and her sisters are cursed Naagins as well, entrusted with safeguarding Bani. As long as Bani is fine, they do not need to interfere. But maybe there comes a moment when to save Bani they have to interfere and thus their curse will be broken.

They probably also think Jai is her mate and is waiting for their union. But then they will come to know the truth as well, and they and the Cheel brothers will save Bani in time. More than the other sisters, I feel Meera is a Naagin entrusted with safeguarding Bani as a human. But she is not so strong. She has her complexities and is a little subdued.

But did my eyes defy me? Did I see Daksh flirting cum misbehaving with Meera? I mean I have been pitching Tapish with her for some time, but they hardly ever show their interaction. But, this is the first interaction of Meera with a Cheel brother. And if I am right, among the other brothers Daksh is the most bold, sharp, and stable. He may not have the sense of humor of Veer, but he is surely capable of being Veer's twisted Lakshman. Personality-wise also Meera is calm and quiet and Daksh is a little too angry, aloof and courageous. Achche lagenge dono saath me agar waise dikhaye jaaye to. But this can happen when the brothers actually learn how to behave properly and are given a good spanking by Bani. Veer is incapable of teaching manners to his brothers. Bani on the other hand is the real boss lady in that way. Jo unse ghar saaf karwa sakti hai, woh line pe bhi laa sakti hai.

Cause honestly, it seems Tapish is not the most important of the lot, and also that he is just too quite. Sometimes his vibes are like he will turn out to be the Mrityu ka Devta someday. Let's see whether I am right about what I feel.

Yeah I watched vishkanya and her character was shown to be considered very beautiful and not once was there the unnecessary mention of skin colour at all for her character. Liked that show for the first 3 months until they ruined it with that third wheel girl. Agreed that in actual the actress, aishwarya khare is actually really pretty, but just because she isn't white as bone they are trying to make her character out to be ugly and undesirable.

You're idea is excellent and makes sense. It would be great if at least meera turns out to be a naagin or something. Right now her character seems like a piece of furniture with no real purpose for now and I don't like that.

Daksh really misbehaved poorly today with meera. I doubt he will be paired with meera, although I feel they look good together.

Those dialogues are demeaning I also didn't like Veer dialogues in Sunday episode when he said to Bani the chain matches your heavyweight. It was offensive to me even if he meant it as a joke and Meera is getting treated like the average looking sister who needs ott make up to look beautiful is another thing which isn't setting well with me.

I am really rooting for Meera to turn into a supporting Naagin. She may not have the strength of Adi Naagin, but she could definitely have the brains and stealth of one. I mean Adi Naagin cannot always do the right thing if she does not have the right kind of people by her side. Like Veer whose strength is empowering Bani like Shiv empowers his Gauri. Similarly, Meera could be the brain or mind to Adi Naagin, with vast knowledge about all Naagvansh or Cheelvansh. Like Hermione Granger to Bani's Harry Potter.

If you ask me, supposed leads in other shows "misbehave" with their ladylove and get away with it by terming it as "angsty romance". Yahaan phir bhi scope hai ke aage jaake ye launde sudhar jaaye. I personally feel so. Since it is just fiction. Daksh and Meera could be Ying and Yang, much like Veer and Bani are. Both Veer and Bani are strong, but Veer's strength is toned and Bani is impulsive. Daksh could actually make Meera a little bolder and Meera could also tone down Daksh's naak pe chada gussa. He also looks rather angry most of the time, unless he is chilling with his bros.

Yes, he is, but there is something off about him as well. Just like they portray Meera to be too subdued and meek, they portray Tapish as weak and bullied as well. Hence the thought crossed my mind, that two characters like Meera and Tapish with similar personality traits cannot really help each other in any way. What will they teach each other? How to be meek and submissive.

The Cheel brothers are actually the highlight of that family. Just like I say twisted Ramayan - Veer is Ram, Daksh is Lakshman, Ponky and Monil are like Bharat and Shatrughan. Daksh is always fierce and angry, but very chill when with his brothers. All four brothers stick together like anything, always having each other's backs. All three brothers obey Veer and fear him too. But that also brings in the toxic masculinity of the brothers in focus. To cut that, we have Bani who knows how to put these brothers in the right place, even though for her own reasons.

And I feel that the other 3 sisters are to be paired with the brothers - Ponky and Monil with Tehek and Mahek, and Daksh with Meera, but I may be wrong.

Tapish and Meera could go quite the opposite ways - like Meera could turn into a Naagin relieved of her curse and Bani's support system in the future. Same with Tapish, who could actually go villainous in the future.
