Well they can only chose from what’s offered! Let’s be honest. It’s not like there are a huge number of producers out there willing to try Tv actors. So these actors end up taking whatever they find better that comes their way.

That's why like shah said it's better to do a good show than a movie with small banners. Popularity bhi rahegi aur paise bhi milenge aur fans bhi khush honge.

Hmm, small budget bhi ho, some were good movies and sensible audience have discovered them and watched them. Like Aamir and 22 yards.

Though I didn't like one of the thriller films Rajeev did. And I didn't like Barun's first film for which he left IPK.

Now both are on digital platforms and doing well.

They don't need to compromise either. There have been other TV actors who've waited for good scripts before signing. I don't see the need for TV stars to stoop to the level of failed bollywood actors in their desperation to enter bolywood when they are still so promising.

IMO in terms of reach, popularity and money involved:

Films > TV > Web shows

Some actors, especially male actors who usually don’t have much of a role in most of the Hindi TV shows, want to try their luck in web shows where at they’ get meatier roles. But then I guess the pay is more on TV than in web. But again, some might be fixated about decent storylines and might like the small duration of web shows. So some actors have moved to web like Rajeev.

Aah it’s easy for us to say but we don’t know what their financial status is. Not all can afford to wait for years together for a good movie offer to come their way. So to make their ends meet and to stay relevant, they have to do something.

Haq se was still decent. Loved that one. On alt balaji. Atleast Rajeev's role didn't demand anything pointlessly bold from him.

As much as I'd love to see Shaheer in Bollywood, I would be a little worried for him given the state of bollywood. I know he's already friends with Ekta and that movie offer during Salim Anarkali must have been from her only.

I just feel very protective of him.

Same here yaar.... I am very protective of Shaheer Sheikh I too don't want him to do any bollywood movies now or for another couple of years.

I vl be very happy to see him in online platform or any other shows or music videos.
