Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali

It was Ishani’s haldi night. Whole house was busy in doing works, as the ceremony started guests started to arrive. As the elder daughter in law, Riddhima was busy in welcoming the guests. But her eyes were going towards the main door after every minute as her husband hasn’t returned yet! He had gone to a meeting saying just one thing to her,

“Mujhe aane mein der hogi but I’ll try to come as soon as possible! Tum taiyaqr rehna ye pehenke jo main laya hu tumhare liye (giving her a box which contained a beautiful yellow coloured dress). I know tum iss dress mein bohut khoobsurat lagogi, Sweetheart”

He winked at her & left for work. He didn’t see the smile his wife had on her face! She always loved such care of him, his flirtings with her and calling her “Sweetheart”

Riddhima broke out from her thoughts and said to herself,

“Main bhi kya Vansh ke khayalo mein khone lagi. Mujhe aur bhi bohut kaam hai. Waise ye Vansh bhi na! Kitne kaam hote hai inko..Apni behen ki haldi ke din bhi important meeting pe chale gaye”

She frowned as he still didn’t come home when almost everyone had came.

“Chal beta Riddhima ,tu bhi kaam pe lag jaa. Teri nanad ki haldi hai. Koyi kami nahi rehni chahiye”

Saying this she went for work!

There Vansh came home when everyone was busy in putting haldi to Ishani. Even though he was exhausted after a long tiring meeting but he didnt got scope to rest as it’s his sister’s haldi tonight! After getting freshen up, He put on a traditional outfit of course matching to his wife! Then he came downstairs in search or her! His eyes yearned for seeing her in that dress. From morning he has been waiting to see how she would look in that dress and now he can’t wait anymore!

“Arey Vansh beta, tum kab aye?” Daadi asked standing beside him.

“Thodi der pehle ,daadi” He answered

He continued talking to daadi while his eyes still looking around for Riddhima. Finally, he found her. She was looking so angelic more than he imagined. His heart felt peace looking at her beautiful smiling face! She was busy talking with a guest and didn’t notice him deeply staring at her.

“Vansh beta, Decoration kaisa pasand aaya tumhe? dekho to kaunsa phool acha lag raha hai?” Daadi said pointing towards the decorations of red & yellow flowers.

Vansh who was much busy in watching his sweetheart, replied simply “yellow one”

Hearing him, Daadi looked at him only to find him deeply lost in a yellow dressed pretty Riddhima. Daadi smiled at her pota’s behaviour and said,

“I was talking about flowers beta, not person” Daadi laughed while saying this.

Hearing daadi he looked at her who was laughing at him. He understood daadi caught him staring at Riddhima thats why she’s teasing him. He just felt embarrassed for getting caught & smiled looking downwards. Daadi patted on his shoulder & went away to talk with guests.

Riddhima was in the kitchen looking for Sweets to serve the guests. But meethai ki dabba was kept on a high place of the kitchen counter. She was trying to reach it by raising her feet, though she was wearing heels still it was not reachable for her height! Suddenly she felt someone’s hand on her waist, she got scared as it was all of a sudden, the hands took the weight of her and lifted her upwards so that she could take the sweet box from there. Riddhima tried looking at the man who was holding her & then she heard that baritone voice, which is so familiar to her!

“Jaldi karo, Sweetheart! You’ve gained weight. Zyada der pakad ke rakh nahi payunga tumhe” He teased her while she frowned hearing this from him.

She took the sweet box and Vansh placed her in the ground safely!

“Agar itni hi moti lagti hu to uthaya kyu?” She said turning her face away from him.

He chuckled seeing her expression! She looked so cute like a kid. He hugged her from the behind & said,

“Ek hi to Sweetheart hai meri, tum jaisi bhi ho mujhe bohut khoobsurat lagti ho”

He could feel she was blushing. So he turned her towards him & she looked at him. She saw there was haldi on his face.

“Ye haldi kisne lagayi aapko? Aapko to bilkul pasand nahi hai na?” She asked amused as who dared to do something that Vansh RaiSinghania doesn’t like?

“Ishani” he frowned as he remembered when he was applying haldi to her, she deliberately put haldi on his cheeks saying “Mana mat karna bhai plz, mere liye” And he couldn’t refuse for his sister’s happiness!

Vansh came to reality when he heard Ridhima’s laughter. She looked beautiful when she laughed out from heart! He slowly came close to her & before she could say anything he touched his haldiwala bearded cheeks with her soft one’s! Riddhima felt a shiver down her sprains as she felt him so close to her. It wasn’t new, every time when he comes near her she feels the same.

“Badi haansi aa rahi thi tumhe. Ab haanso” He smirked looking at her who was looking down in shyness! He loved seeing her shy in front of him. She looks so innocent then!

“Mere rang mein rangne wali

Pari ho ya ho Pariyoon ki raani

Ya ho meri Prem kahaani?”

He sang the song looking intensly at Riddhima whom he has just coloured into his! She felt so happy and shy at the same time that she couldn’t face him so she tried to run away from there before he could do anything!

“Mere sawalo ka jawab do” He asked when he saw her running away without giving answer. But she was nowhere to be seen. Vansh let out a sigh when he saw she was gone. Though she never told him “her dil ki baat” still he could feel her feelings. But he would really feel happy if she told him about her feelings someday!

While thinking all this suddenly Vansh felt someone holding him tightly, As his hand touched the person he knew it was her, his wife, his sweetheart.

“Riddhima” He said slightly touching her back as to what happened to her that suddenly made her hug him like that?

“Mil gaya jawab aapko?” She said in a slow voice & burried her face into his chest.

And finally, He got her answer! He tightened the hug pulling her more closer to him smilingly! And his heart screamed in happiness- “See, The Feelings were mutual!"
