If we talk about comparisons, then I compare a lot of things in this show to the flagship show.

I have been a fan of that show since Kaira came on screen.

For example even BFF show went through this track where the FL had a 5% chance of having a baby BUT it was handled well. The FL had surgery and eventually she had 2 kids.

Then again, that is Bhavna's show. After watching BV's lockdown instagram LIVES with her LEADS, i have realised how much she loves them and how she truly wants their characters to shine. Do our writers want MishBir to shine? Are MishBir as dear to them as Kaira are to Bhavna? Is this the same PH? So many Qs. Sorry, I digress.

I loved Dev; Dev was iconic; however I personally love Abir more. Especially S1 Abir. S1 Abir is a thing of dreams. Not taking away from Dev just Shaheer plays Abir with such skill and assurance that everything he has done before Abir pales in comparison. If I was a writer I would LOVE to have an actor like caramel eyed superstar because imagine thinking of a character and then having an actor that brings that character to life exactly as you had imagined.

So the point is, because Dev is an iconic character and the character that can best be compared to Abir, people will do it. I mean obviously Arjun or Salim cannot be compared to Abir or Dev because they are different characters. But I agree Abir and Dev are completely different.

p.s. Can I add that after watching Arjun, I used to hope that the Shiva Trilogy will be made into a TV show and Sha would play Shiva BUT then I watched an interview where Sha said he might never do a mythological show again because it takes a ot of hard work and is very draining and one has to live that character and it is difficult to switch back to real life. However, I really want him to play that character if those books are adapted ESPECIALLY Shiva in Immortals of Meluha. However, I do not feel that ITV does adaptations as well as Hollywood. Anyways, again I digress.

P.P.S I have also been a fangirl since I watched Arjun;

Seeing him growing as actor make me a proud fan 🙌

From Navya to YRHPK he have come a long way ...🤗

When I started to watch Navya I thought no one has that charm as Anant ..then when Mahabharat came Shah was flawless..his expression body language everything changed he look so different with his long silky hair

Talking about KRPKAB I was not happy initial coz I thought Angry young man type of role don't suit him...but see what he did ..he proved that he can do each different characters with different variations ..Salim character was so priceless I don't know how much I cried seeing his emotional scene he so good with his emotional scene ..then Abir

Abir character simply is so close to my heart 💕..he is different kind of male lead which we normally don't see in itv ..a care free spirited happy go lucky type of character

Anant was a young college going boy sweet and simple

Arjun was warrior prince total 360 opposite than Anant

Dev was again total opposite character with different shades

Shaheer acting is so flawless that he live the character so well that we easily connect to it 🙂

I also want him to do more mythological show but I don't think so it's possible coz he indeed is not interested in doing the character again and loves to do something new🙂
