Can we stop the vilification of Bengali women?

I'm one of the people who believes Rhea Chakraborty had a strong involvement in Sushant's death, and want her brought to justice (after CBI gathers sufficient evidence against her.

But, can we please condemn the collective vilification and shaming of Bengali women as a whole on social media? Some online trolls on twitter are constantly calling Bengali women 'witches', 'sl*ts' and 'vamps'. Apparently, the Rhea episode has strengthened some peoples' beliefs that Bengali women are libertine sorceresses.

It really makes me want to punch some noses.

Remember reading this on a meme page, if bengali women knew black magic, we would have someone else as the PM of the country today. 😆😆

What are the stereotypes surrounding Bengali women to begin with?

Not to generalize but from what I've watched of b'wood so far, Bengali people are usually smart/intelligent and have pretty facial features. What is this about sorcery?

Rhea is obviously not representative of women in general, let alone Bengali women. Misogynist, sexist, patriarchal mindset and so many other social evils are being whipped out to defend her on this forum, but Bengali stereotyping hadn't made it to the mix yet.

Anyone who targets any race or religion be it Bengali, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jain or etc is a piece of shit. Rhea is not the representative of Bengalis.

It's wrong to generalise bengali womem like that. Rhea is in no way a representative of any caste, creed or religion. More thank this, we should be worried about how some people are supporting her just because she is a woman and so can't be wrong. I find this mentality more disturbing. 😵

Her mother is Marathi though. Half Bengalis with mother from other territory can't even properly talk in Bengali, let alone learn purported Bengali "customs".

Well if her mom is Maharashtrian then she's only half Bengali, half Maharashtrian. Yeah she probably can't speak Bengali or even Marathi since she's mixed

This vile attitude is so wrong. I'm a Bengali and as of now almost everyone in this forum knows how I'm against Rhea and believe that she has a strong involvement. That woman isn't representation of women in general so let alone a race. When few days back someone was condemning city girls and all nonsense and I protested my insta dm was flooded with how I'm a witch brainwashing innocent guys and all shit.

But this also I see with a silver lining that before this happening I'd have never realised how wrong is it targetting a religion or race for one or few wrongdoers, like abusing every damn muslim for some wrong people acting on terrorism. I've never indulged in but also never actively stopped these attacks (which I'm ashamed of) I'm never going to be a spectator again.
