We might feel what ever Meenu said n did today was heartless.. Was insane was dum idiotic.... But I guess in rural India n in many urban houses to women aren't treated as a princess if she's declared as incapable of baring a child... She's taunted, people speak behind her....... Ask her or expect her to get medical help, some help n last resort being another marriage, sarogacy etc..... Yes absolutely. I'm sure there are places in India not only villages but quite a few urban settings too still share such values and thoughts - where you expect people to be more open-minded because they are educated. It would be closed-minded of us to judge only small towns are regressive because I have also heard many stories in villages where there are very supportive and open-minded people. Which iscontrast to the the automatic expectation that urban cities are more evolved.

And now the biggest blow, that she cannot give a child to Abir!

Too many horrible experiences, too many insults and blows to her self respect! I don’t think any person would be strong to withstand such constant blows and regain self confidence when there’s no respite from the vagaries of misfortune and other’s villainy.

Now given her background of being abandoned by her parents, whatever confidence and pride she cultivated under BP BM’s care has disappeared into the dark corridors of RJV house. Mishti is a broken shell of her former self, Angry Chorni is gone!

PS: Mishti cannot leave RJV as she doesn’t want the home breaker tag and also she knows Abir loves Kunal and his family too much and won’t be completely happy living away from them.

I agree to all your perception and it's exactly whats happening in real.

The main point here is we cannot see oh 2 characters as the story progresses... Even in real life it is the same.. A boyfriend or girlfriend will argue or fight the whole world to out their point but after marriage there will be change in the equation definitely... They tend to adopt few norms comes in the name of couple relationship post marriage. Girls mostly tend to keep quiet for the sake of family... They try to adjust in sasuraal and loose their originality to an extent... They not only think of themselves but for her husband and for his family too....

As far mishti - I have seen her strong in her own way but not the one to disrespect anyone be it the person who insults her and leaves no chance to hurt her... Even when not related, she used to keep quiet hearing taunts and ritual of disgracing her by meenu and kunal. Same goes with jaameet and Varsha.

I can Relate to this mishti too.....

She already had let meenu blackmail her once, she was crying tons that time too... She stood quietly when meenu insulted her wholy at mandir .....she even apologized to meenu just to keep the relationship of kuku and abir , she was standing quietly when kunal insulted her in public time and again.. Just for abir. And at each instance abir is the one who handles it and supported her.

If we were able to love that version of mishti and abir then why not now?? 🙄

Of course I hate the fact that few crimes are hidden under the carpet and the surrogacy sword is putting many of us under the bus.. That doesn't mean our show is crap or the characters are butchered.

Am still very much in love with our show and I see many other shows just to remind myself that our show is far far faaarrrr better and it's beautiful with awesome actors like Shah, Rhea. Rupal ma'am, BP and BM etc...

Absolutely right yaar. Two individuals as a couple are inevitably going to change when they get married. Besides you cannot expect characters or real people to remain exactly the same throughout their life journey. Their experiences will obviously change them. Especially when it comes to telling a story onscreen, you need characters to change, it's not fun nor interesting to see the characters become stagnant with no growth or falls.

I too have my own reservations about how each track has been handled. I haven't loved everything nor do I support everything they've showed us. But haan like you said that doesn't mean everything is over and the show is dead. There are still lots of positive things to focus on - Abir, Mishti and Kunal, Parul, BP too.

Mishti wasn’t even reacting to the disgusting things Meenu was saying about her, she herself thinks she’s a bojh, she’s manhoos. When someone gets hit everyday and then gets told you have to accept being hit and apologize, that kills the spirit, doesn’t it?

We all want our Mishti to be strong and fight back but she’s just received the biggest shock of her life, before she can recover Meenu wants to throw her out, calling her a bojh and bad luck. Mishti is standing there crying, she’s numb, Abir, Kunal, BP reacted more to those horrible words than she did, because she thinks she deserves them
