Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and the same should apply to Rhea. But in her case, people are spinning the narrative out of control and all of Sushant's bad decisions are being blamed on Rhea. She forced him to do drugs, she forced him to allocate his finances to her sounds rubbish to me. And this new angle of abuse seems far-fetched to me.

Just because it's not proved as murder, how can you said it's suicide? And why do you care about others narrative? Let people believe and support what they want! Just like I believe, she is pathetic piece of shit and you don't.

Sushant was not a child but some women can manipulate the guy easily (and vice versa), especially if the man is a bit introverted, doesn't have a strong support system to fall back on and deals with phony bollywood people he doesn't share common interests with most of the time.

I watched Rhea's interview too cuz I wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth. I must admit, her performance was outstanding even when she is under so much emotional duress--and if I didn't know better, I'd have fallen for it! I reminded myself that she has gone over her answers multiple times and rehearsed them with one of the best lawyers of India who can make night look like day and day look like night.

I used the three tools of persuasive speaking to analyze her interview.

Ethos (sometimes called an appeal to ethics): She was SSR's girlfriend, much to our disappointment, and she has a say here, much to our dislike.

Pathos (appeal to emotion): This is what Rhea's rehearsed interview has really tapped on--by tugging at people's hearts with her and her family's sob story and yes, deep down, most of the people feel for the 26 year old girl from a middle class family who lost the love of her life and is now being mob lynched without being proven guilty.

At the same time, her appeal to emotion needs to accompany reasons, facts and concrete evidence cuz this is now a criminal case, people are skeptical and won't just take her words for it.

Logos (appeal to logic) is a way of persuading an audience with reason, using facts and figures. She was lacking here. No facts, nothing at all, just talking crap about his family and Ankita doesn't make it true. Playing upon feelings and emotions of people can only work up to a point cuz that alone CANNOT be used to replace reason and evidence-based arguments. She didn't use or talk about an evidence or reason to present her case. Maybe she's saving it for the actual CBI investigation or the court trial that'll follow later but she hasn't given the audience any proof to back up her claims. This was an emotional appeal for the most part.

Whether people buy her story or not, I do think there needs to be some sort of a restraining order against the papparazis and so called journalists who have shown nothing but utter disregard towards people's personal space. Why were they pestering the old man (Rhea's father) and poking the mic at his face and whatnot when he is most likely using up every ounce of his willpower and strength just to keep his sanity together? Do people not understand where to draw the line anymore? Last I checked, we're not wild animals. Whether she's guilty or not, papparazi's have no business doing what they've been doing and need to back off.

I dnt find her anything wrong in Rajdeep taking her interview..

He is journalist he did his work

He just asked those questions which were in public mind

We need to hear her side of story too

We heard her

Why ahe should not be given any platform to clarify.

She is guilty or not truth will come out

but why the journalist is harassed

Did rajdeep declare or favoured rhea NO nO he dint do he was not biased towards rhea.

She can't be declared guilty unless proven indeed. However, she IS a prime accused. Not declared by me. Not declared by his fans but by CBI.

But then again, like I said in some other thread yesterday, proving innocent's innocence and guilty's brutality is always hard.

Just going to say - #justicefortheonewhohasbeenwronged.

Sadly, people will always blame a woman for all the mishaps even when there is no factual evidence to support their claims. Internalized misogyny is rampant among people. Fair trial should be provided to her and let the blame game begin if she is actually proven to be guilty. Until then people fulfilling their agendas by making her the scape goat is unsettling.

It's an open secret. The authorities involved know it all. Question is, will they be allowed to do their job.

Rhea is not the one being protected. Maneshinde has been sent in to make sure Rhea does not sing. She has had intensive couching. Its evident in the interview.

People are being naive if they think Mumbai Police and the state govt fought tooth and nail to stop a CBI investigation for her sake.

Lets not forget, the solicitor general moved the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court quashed her petition and handed over to the CBI. The CBI sent not 1 but 3 teams to investigate. The NBC is now involved. All this for a possible suicide and a few thousand Rs worth of hash?

In case you disagree, please PROVE he was in fact vulnerable to abuse and that is a serious charge to make about anyone without being proven.

You still don't get the point.

It isn't about Sushant. Your point in wrong that an adult committing suicide can't be dictated by anyone else.

And neither you or me or anyone in the media or social media knows anything. You are acting like CBI or ED or police have punished Rhea, they haven't. They are still going with the innocent till proven guilty narrative.

People will say what they want to say, we can't stop it. Few in the forum and Twitter still believe Sushant abused Sanjana, despite her saying it many times nothing such happened.

Suicide can never be dictated by anyone else. You can have poor circumstances in your life and maybe you are surrounded by bad people but suicide is still a personal decision made by oneself. Nobody can be blamed for it.

People fight and emerge out of the worst problems and life issues. Some don't because they make the decision to end it.
