How many people have ever been charged and with abetment to suicide and jailed anyway? Is there a resource somewhere to check? I bet the number is incredibly small.

These kinds of laws hardly get used and shouldn't be either. For someone, even jokes and insensitive comments can end up causing mental anguish and they commit suicide. That doesn't mean you can charge anyone for that. That would be ridiculous.

The abetment to suicide angle was just a stepping stone. They always wanted a murder declaration because that's the only way his life insurance policy would still be valid.
