It is a criminally stupid idea. I can't believe her lawyer allowed it.
For the simple reason that there are tons of opportunities to make a mistake and implicate yourself. Plus once you say something, your lawyer is stuck with that story and can't change it in court.
Public opinion means nothing. Focus on the legal mess which will have real life consequences. She should have given the interview only after all the agencies cleared her.
I would say itās brave and courageous on her part. The truth is no one has any proof but still people have made up their mind that she is awful and killed SSR. One choice is keep quiet and people will continue thinking that. The other option is at least speak up for your self. At least try to tell your side of the story. And then leave everything to fate, destiny and Karma. If she is innocent she should definately speak for herself and not let the mob bully her.

Agreed, but how is this allowed in an active investigation? How are the police accepting witnesses and suspects to give interviews to TV channels? Clearly everyone has just accepted that this is going to be a public trial rather than an actual court process.
Very bad move, had the other party respected CBI and the court of law. They didn't. They kept indulging in this malicious media trial against Rhea, so much so that has been compelled to appear and clear her version.
I think it's much needed. At least the narrative wouldn't become so one-sided anymore.
And I am glad she or her lawyer is giving the interview to India Today which is a lot more balanced compared to Times Now/Republic which are well known for fake news and political propaganda.
I agree. I firmly believe all people who genuinely wanted to help in SSR case should have gone to police or CBI rather than using public platforms but they didnāt. So why only expect Rhea to do it? Exactly. People should get to know both sides of the story and then judge for themselves. It would make more sense to have her lawyer speak. The lawyer will not make a tactical blunder onscreen.
She is going to make a mistake. She will end up giving contradictory statements. Just because no one has perfect memory. And that will be used to show that she is lying.
