In the age of the Internet, is there more pressure on stars?

There is way too much judgement all around. The Internet has allowed us to be so. What is unfortunate is lack of educating ourselves- everyone passes blanket statements in the name of opinions. But how about understanding or researching?! Rabid fans and haters are two ends of the spectrum.. sometimes there is no difference between the two.

What appalled me today is lacklustre performance by Ananya is being haled as "good" by some. Anyone knowing the basics of acting will refrain from making such a statement.

No, I think Indians in general are fed up with establishment. Majority of these stars even admit that they don’t watch their own movies, or Hindi films, some even admit they don’t even rehearse. There isn’t any pressure on them. Maybe if they respected their work more, I would actually take them seriously. 99% of the actors are terrible in Bollywood. They might have one good achievement followed by hundred terrible ones.

That's why I love Rajkumar Rao, he takes his craft seriously. In actresses, Vidya/Kangana/Taapsee do so.

Ranbir and Deepika are also good actor-stars.

I find it really pathetic when some actor/actress proudly says we don’t watch bollywood movies 😡 if don’t appreciate the field you’re working on then why are you even here??? Go to Hollywood if you can.. with your pathetic acting skills they won’t even cast you as a tree

It's classism. it's making sure to look down upon anyone who watches these movies. We seriously need to start looking into ourselves and asking why we support these people who have zero respect for their audience and their craft.

As if Hollywood is some kind of holy grail. 🤣

HW is also full of bad actors like Zac Efron, The Rock, AHnold, Steven Segal, Noah Centineo, Nicholas Cage and nepo products like Jaden Smith.

Anyway, I don't think anyone says they don't watch Indian movies other than Saif and Kareena. Both are morons.

The problem is people have become intolerant and reactive to anything and everything LITERALLY, and this kind of thing happens everywhere (india, pakistan as far as I've noticed).

If you tell a single thing on an interview or SNS, people take out any other meaning and harass you for that. I can 100% assure you that there's no celebrity who hasn't faced hatred/troll and even if they are they may be countable.
