You judge the likes of Alia/suhana not being good looking enough but also judge the likes of Janhvi and Katrina for getting surgery/fillers. how does one really win?

If you’re talking about psychical appearance then it’s not about win. We want perfection even when we ourselves are flawed. we are not perfect so we will highlight some else’s flaws to satisfying ourself.

I personally don’t like Alia, Janhvi or Katrina. But from my personal experience I can say beauty lies in the eyes of beholder 🙂

That's someone's perspective, not hypocrisy. Not all people can like you. There are so many people who dislike you without any reason.

if you ask me, Jhanvi and Katrina ruined their face with fillers.... they were both cute looking before it......

whereas Alia and suhana dont have the look to match these girls......esp Katrina, Deepika, Sonam, Anushka........

so i dont know where the problem is....... Alia and Suhana can do Shabana Azmi type of roles...... if they have the capabilities......

Technically, this is a false opposition since Alia already tampered with her face. Also, while I understand why one should call out the hypocrisy of judging women regardless of what they do, an important factor is at play here: suitability for a particular role. Someone who is not a dazzling beauty should not play a character who is said to be a dazzling beauty. Someone who plays a real person should not have a botoxed-stiff face. Someone who plays a fantastic dancer should be able to dance very well etc. No wonder people ridicule those performers.

Who decides the beauty standard, they always blame audience but sometimes I read about Kjo saying anushka and ranveer to ugly for films, some celebrities claim if they need job then they need plastic surgery or bigger private parts. Etc.

The thing is they tend to give a certain look to alia thin, anorexic, size zero and want us to accept that as beauty. Why? Katrina face sometimes looked puffed up? And that is not good looking.

Why cant we have healthy natural beauties that would only need makeups to enhance their beauty not corrective surgeries or is that not possible ? Even for man with hair extensions and botox etc .

Definitely hypocritical. People just expect someone to be born completely perfect, they praise the pretty ones as if they have done anything to be born beautiful. It was just pure luck.

None of the Bollywood actresses these days can be called a classic beauty. Ash was probably the last universally accepted one. They are all stunning and attractive peeps though. I'd rather have someone who can act than a beautiful puppet anyday.

Alia is good looking. I don't even understand why people make fun of her.

Jhanvi is fine . She has got her own charm.

Katrina is an angel.

Suhana isn't cut for bollywood but is beauty the only parameter to be an actress!

It's their choice if they want go under the knife though.

This vanity talk about beauty is so annoying. Even a beauty like Aishwarya has to bear the brunt of age.

Movies job is to tell stories. I would take anyone who could emote or entertain. Not much of a nitpicker I am.

Yep. Look at the excitement some are displaying over Manushi Chillar getting movies. These same people I see bashing nepotism day and night. So just because she's good looking supposedly, we should act like it's a great thing she's getting movies even though she has no training, no acting experience, never went to acting school, never did plays and never ever cared about this profession before her easy entry. 🤭
