Why Katrina didn't get along with Ranbir's family and friends?

Katrina and Ranbir dated for six long years. They were even living together. But why was Katrina still not able to develop any bond with any of Ranbir's family and friends. Generally in cases where parents oppose love usually friends will be supporting them. But here Ranbir friends are not that fond of Katrina. Ayan and Ranbir are best friends since 12 years or more. But Katrina and ayan not even follow each other neither Ranbir's childhood friend Ayesha. But Ranbir's family, his cousins and friends are well bonded with Alia even with her sister Shaheen. They bond and friendship looks really genuine and beautiful. Its been only 2 years Ranbir Alia are together. But still shares a good bond with all. Whereas Katrina being with Ranbir for six long years fail to create such bond with his family. What could be the reason?
