Yes but you can't be against Modi and then go show support for Erdogan. Both are two sides of the same coin. If you're a liberal, that should be maintained everywhere. You can't just go back and forth whenever you feel like it. This is the reason why Priyanka gets dragged so much also. You can't become liberal in the US and a right-winger in India. Unless the only person you care about is yourself and what benefits you personally.

As an aside, Swami is a propagandist and I don't know why his moronic views keep getting dragged into random topics for no reason.

Precisely..such a two faced man. Tries to behave like an intellectual in India and cozies up to an anti India regime when abroad. I am not the one for boycotting movies, but if one must then the movie of this scum which is shot in Turkey must be. If one hates Modi and everything he stands for then Erdogan deserves similar feelings. If he doesn't then that is fine too as long as he doesn't carry the liberal mukhauta. Erdogan has many enemies in the Islamic world too...but anything spoken against him will be interpreted as Islamophobia by his supporters. Erdogan plans to become the leader of the Islamic world and is cunning enough to use both brute force and soft power. Amir has the potential to be used for the purpose of perpetuating soft power. Whether he will be a willing partner for his own petty benefits is anybody's guess
