My cousin stays in Mumbai. He says they are fed up with the water logging problem that happens every year. This year due to lockdown, most people are working from home. But otherwise it's such a pain in the a$$.and this happens every damn year.

The previous governments didn't do anything. But what is this new government doing about it?

For all that consider Maharashtra's move to deny CBI the first of its kind, its not and doesn't necessarily prove their involvement in this case or that they have something to hide. Ever since the restructuring of the CBI in 2018, politicial parties have accused the Centre(BJP) of compromising the integrity of the CBI and using it for its own political agendas against rival politicians. After 2018, The CBI has "General Consent" in only 10 states when it had it in all states before that. Now they have to seek consent on a case to case basis in the other states. They've been denied by many states including West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan etc.

All that said, Maharashtra politicians aren't doing themselves any favors in such a high profile case and shifting the narrative on them. They should just let the CBI in rather than invite all this bad press & conspiracy theories.
