Without question the masala entertainer of the year, this is also surely one of the summer's silliest films. There isn't the slightest pretense of a script, the plot is positively asinine, there is much unnecessary melodrama and pandering of cliche, and the dialogue often grates on the nerves. There is, to be honest, no reason this film should even be remotely watchable.And it wouldn't be, if not for its leading man.Akshay Kumar has outKhanned the industry's biggest, and today has the kind of insane screen presence that makes even idiocy seem immortal. He has the looks, the inevitable charisma, and the screen presence of a God -- or, as they say in Bollywood, a Bachchan. Snoop Dogg or not, Singh Is Kinng is nothing but a showcase for Akshayism, and from the looks of it, it's a religion we could all do with more of.

Akki at that time seemed like he would rule the Industry but alas him and his overindulgence in doing genres till people get bored of him costed him a good number of years until recently.

Akshay had a hugely successful 2007(four of his movies where in top 10 highest grosser of that year) and than SIK's record opening happening, while Aamir still didn't had Ghajini, and Bhai also was far away. Only SRK was there while HR was as usual in haitus. So there were talks of him now ruling the industry, but as I said he ruined it from there till he found back some form in 2012 with Houseful, Rowdy Rathore and OMG, before getting back his mojo in 2016, after building a reputation with Special 26 and Baby.
